Great at working with you to owe less and make affordable payments to the IRS! They'll even handle the payments for you in their office which is super convenient and don't charge extra for it.Good option for small business owners and people who'd like to keep more of their hard earned money!

We made an appointment on February 20th, 2019 to have our taxes done by Angie at By The Books. The initial appointment went very well. She said it looked as though we would be getting a good return. We then submitted the remaining information she needed the following week. I waited until the middle of March to contact her, as I had heard nothing about our taxes. I emailed her and she told us to come in the following Monday and sign our taxes. When my husband stopped by, the receptionist couldn't find them. We then let another week go by and when I called, I was told they would contact me when they were ready. The first week of April I still had heard nothing so I called again and explained it had been a month and a half. The receptionist said she would put us at the top of the pile and we would be contacted in the next day or two to sign our paperwork. We heard nothing. I sent a second email that was not responded to. The week before taxes were due, I went in to find out what was going on. I was told they were being worked on and that if they couldn't be finished in time, Ange would file an extension. Tax day rolls around and we are contacted and told to come in at 5 P.M. to sign our taxes. When we arrived, our return was almost $8000 less than what we were initially told we would be receiving back. When I asked for an explanation, the receptionist refused to get Ange and told me that there may have been some last minute calculations that made the difference. It is now May 15th, 2019 and I received a letter from the IRS today notifying us we owe $400 fine due to late filing. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! She is cheap, but so is the service you receive.

Have used H&R for the past 5 years. Thought I would try another service and get away from the >$350 tax bill. Wish I had made this decision years ago! Angelina was GREAT! Best of all, I actually DOUBLED my return this year compared to last year. No doubt in my mind that I will be visiting Angelina again next year and beyond.
