***renter beware***
Take lots and lots of pictures of your rental before leaving the lot. Do yourself a favor and grab an employee to do a video walk around of your rental with you, otherwise you might have an interesting surprise waiting on your voicemail and email once you're back home.

Didn't rent a car... but whoever the young lady was working last night at the casper Wy hertz counter needs a HUG shout out!!!! ?
Your kindness goes a long way!! You helped me get a ride to safety instead of sleeping outside the airport alone. Thank you soooo much!!!!!! You didn't have to do anything for me but you did.

I did a one-way business rental here for a week and despite the previous reviews, thankfully my experience was relatively smooth. However, I took a lot of precautions so as to not run into the same issues as others have in the past.
I got to Casper pretty early, around 11AM. From the old reviews, I guess the same Brad still works there, but to be honest, to me he didn't seem that bad. He's straightforward. I told him my details, he gave me the paperwork, and I asked to actually downsize since I didn't need a 3-row full size SUV anymore. He obliged and told me the rate would be lower and said I'd probably get better gas mileage than the Expedition that was originally assigned to me. We reviewed the new terms of my contract.
Brad isn't a bad customer service rep, but maybe he isn't exactly going out of his way to give "exceptional" service. Nothing wrong with that to me, just a guy that needs to get cars out.
Now, to be fair I doubt most people would be in my scenario to downsize, but at least for this niche scenario he made it happen. Also, it's early. There's no one else renting cars yet, the few people there were at the other rental aisles, so I guess it's easier to handle just one guy (me in this case), and there's still a lot of cars in the airport lot.
He got me into a pretty sweet 2024 VW Atlas. I took a lot of pictures of the car and starting mileage, as well as fuel level. I also had the LDW.
Had no issues with the car for the week, and I dropped it off at Salt Lake City. The receipt was delayed because SLC had to send information to Casper that I did in fact return the car, and they had to charge me the correct mileage (0.35 per mile). It finally came 2 days later and I reviewed the fees. There were a couple of surcharges, but after reviewing the Hertz website I guess the fees made sense. I had a state surcharge and airport customer facility fee on top of my taxes, mileage, and rate. I looked at it and was like, ok, makes sense I guess. The state surcharge is government mandated. Whatever, I've seen this on other receipts before, it was like an additional $24. The airport fee makes sense since I dropped it off at SLC International.
To summarize, I had a good experience. Brad isn't as bad as others make him out to be. He did a pretty good job for my rental. If you are paranoid about damage and extras fees, take note of your car before you leave the lot and take pictures before and after you finish your rental, or just get the loss damage waiver. They seem pretty strict about any type of damage, so the LDW might be the best way to avoid this. If you didn't purchase prefuel, take pictures of your fuel level and your most recent gas receipt. If you aren't willing to take the precautions, this probably isn't the place to rent for you. I understand this may not seem like the most reasonable way to go about things, but by taking these steps you can probably have a good experience too.
Thanks to all at Casper Hertz.

Make sure to take pictures. This location will charge you 1700$ for scratches to bumpers from regular unavoidable road debris. Employees clearly hate their jobs and have no personality. Just handing over documents to sign with no description of what you are even signing for. Hertz should never allow their business to be ran by individuals who care nothing for what they do so well at many other locations. Unfortunately for hertz I will never rent from them again anywhere due to the poor service received here.

We drove over two hours one way on a 7 hour drive and had a car reserved. It was not made clear to us at the time of our car reservation that a credit card ONLY could be used. We showed up ready to roll with our DEBIT card in hand and were told the airport’s policy is that cars can only be rented out using a CREDIT card. Make this clear AHEAD of time.

Do not rent from this place supposedly it’s privately owned which all the policies are weird already . Rented a SUV and they couldn’t upgrade me without charging me an extra $200 a day never had a problem with Avis or buget at this airport

This particular Hertz location commits fraud. They steal your card number, literally! And harrass you non stop! Avoid this location! What an embarrassment to Hertz! The rental guy is an animal!

This location is horrible and crooked. I had to rent a vehicle due to getting into accident in company car. This location is privately owned franchise and not corporate owned, so runs different than any other location I have worked with. I have Presidents Circle elite status with Hertz and company has huge corporate contract. This location gave me a car that I was told had been used by someone’s grandma and was just returned. They cleaned it up quick (still dog hair everywhere in it). I didn’t look at outside carefully, wish I had. The car needed an oil change about 2 weeks after I had it. They refused to pay for that. Was told I could drive it the 4 hours north for them to do the work or pay for it myself. I paid for it myself. When I finally got to return the car, they quickly submitted a claim to my company saying there were numerous dents and scratches. It was kept in a heated garage and only driven for work. Lucky then that they could take advantage of my company and my lack of taking pictures when I picked it up. They are rude, crooked and buyers should be weary. You are at their mercy when you rent in a small town like Casper, but I would avoid at all costs. Glad to see I wasn’t the only one that had a horrible experience.

My partner and I ran into some bad news about our road trip vehicle on our way to Denver for a very important concert. With only 8 hours to figure out a backup plan and also drive the rest of the way there. In a panic I called in hopes of a smaller vehicle that wouldn’t totally break the bank. Hertz’ employee Brad was so nice to us and went out of his way to find us that small car as fast as a could and with an awesome rate and we just really can’t thank him enough. He made the check out so easy and quick and got us back on the road asap!
