I had my 2019 taxes done at Shamrock, and signed their form for e-filing. I sent the IRS a check for the amount owed. In 2021, I received a letter from the IRS saying they had my money but had no idea what to do with it since I had not filed a return. I visited Shamrock and was told they would take care of it. Later that year, another letter from the IRS, same situation. I again contacted Shamrock, same answer. In 2023, after one more letter from the IRS. I made copies of Shamrocks tax forms and my relevant documents and mailed them to the IRS. Later that year, a letter from the IRS indicating that I now owed $505 for a late filing fee. I reconnected Shamrock and was told they would straighten it all out. Never heard a word from them. Today, 18 December 2023, I received a letter from the IRS saying they have turned my case over to a private collection agency. Shamrock is the worst!

First of all, I would like to state some of these reviews must have started their own day off in a bad mood. I took a chance on them based off the reviews.... and my ignorance of tax knowledge.I experienced nothing other than professional, knowledgeable, helpful employees. At the same time keeping a home town family owned feeling about the place. I will be coming back here, and I will recommend them to any one who needs help on taxes.

No communication, refund was thousands below what it should've been, charged half of tax prep fee to recover my documents. absolute worst experience with any business in the industry.

Turned my taxes in on April 1st not allowed in office due to Covid exposure in the office. They were not completed and filed until October 15th at 8pm.

I called to ask about my paycheck being ready. and the owner of the company was rude started to yell at me for calling telling me she told the owner of my company but I am a employee not an owner had no reason to act the way she did customer service is non existent here would not recommend to anyone that wants to be treated with respect

I would give this place a zero if I could. DURING the mask mandate & before we could all get vaccines this placerefused to wear masks to protect their customers. We took our taxes there & no one was wearing a mask. When we inquired we got all kinds of different excuses including 1) I have asthma 2) Hardly anyone comes in here so we don't have to 3) This is a family business so we don't have to. What is missing from that equation? Keeping the customer safe & acting professionally. We are seniors who have friends & associates who have died or been very, very sick from this virus & appreciated businesses that were following the mandate & health recommendations (still do). When reminded that it was a mandate from the Governor they literally SCREAMED at us, "Call the cops on us then!" We left.

I have used cpa companies in the past and tho they did a good job,I felt that I was paying a lot for their service,i.e. tax prep and p&l , I was doing all the data entry on Quickbooks, and really all the cpa did was review what I gave them and then did the deprecation and any Capital appreciation or loss along with review of deductable expense. My billing from cpa was running over 2000. Per year, needles to say it is quite a bit less with Shamrock.

Had my taxes done here for 3 years now. Thanks to them I increased my tax return by 13,000 dollars the first year and 3,000 last year! If you want the best possible return they are the ones you should go to! Can't wait to see what this years return brings...it kinda feels like Christmas!

Colletta Shane is not an honest person and is not someone I would trust to do business with. When it comes to something as important as accounting I would suggest looking elsewhere. Honestly not even worth the 1 star review.

I love Shamrock! They are so organized and quick with my taxes every year! Year after year I have been nothing but 100% happy with Shamrock!
