“just a couple of months after moving to casper from out of state my 16 yr old cat, started showing signs of illness. I called The Ark from a Google search, they got him in the very same day. I sadly had to make the decision to not let him suffer. The staff was amazing and so kind through the entire process. The Dr was amazing and genuinely showed compassion for me and my cat. I have since taken my kitten in for care and again was showed kindness, compassion and empathy. I will use the ark animal hospital for all of my future veterinary needs. Even though Mya had never been a patient of Dr. Doug’s, I already knew he was someone I trusted. Every interaction I’ve ever had with him showed me that he genuinely cares about both animals and the people who love them. There’s a kindness and compassion about him that immediately stands out.

When Mya’s health took a sudden turn and we needed guidance, my friend Nat Steinhoff helped connect us with Doug. Despite never having seen Mya before, Doug and his team got us in right away. He took the time to listen, answer our questions, and help us understand what was best for her. His advice was thoughtful, compassionate, and exactly what we needed during an incredibly emotional time.

My girlfriend and I don’t have children, and our dogs are family. Mya wasn’t just a pet to us. She was our companion, our adventure buddy, and one of the most loved parts of our lives. Having to say goodbye was devastating, but Doug and the entire team at Hound and Katt Veterinarian made an impossible day feel a little less overwhelming.

From the moment we walked through the door, we were treated with kindness, dignity, and genuine compassion. We never felt rushed. We never felt like just another appointment. We felt supported every step of the way.

While I wish our first visit had been under different circumstances, I am incredibly grateful that Mya spent her final moments in the care of people who truly understood how much she meant to us.
