I was attracted by the pricing, but after going here 2 times It's confusing to me anyone would shop here. They are trying to do everything all at once, and it's weird and doesn't work. This store belongs in the 80s, MAIL IN REBATES? Yup, print rebate and rebate receipt, get envelope, stamp, and mail in rebate forms, wait for rebate to come back to you in the mail, and the rebates only valid in store not online. What the heck is going on? It's 2025!!. Horrible products, wood so warped looks like a bow, and stacking would up STAIRS, in depp a cubby, that you have to pull out to see if its good or not is a horrible design. This store straight up sucks. I pre-order and pay to get to the loading area in the store to find absolutely unusable bad wood. A waste of time and money.

It was getting easier to find things, but it seems like things are harder to find, or they don't haven't it stock. The store doesn't seem to be as clean or organized or it has been in the past.

I have spent 250k at the Cheyenne menards in the last 2 years. I live 4.5 hours away. I called about a product to see if it was in stock. Employee said there was 2. I asked could you please put eyes on it, before I waste 9 hours driving. Yes we have it. Looked online 2 in stock.
What do you know I get there and they don't have it.
The gm Mike wouldn't even talk to me and refused to sell me the display model. Mike could have made this right. Lost a good customer over an $ 80 fire ring. What terrible management.

It's Menards. It is what it is. You can find good deals and they do often stock items not found in other big box DIY stores. But, of course, you have to walk the extra mile past the clothing, the greeting cards, the groceries, the mattresses, the fireworks, etc. to get things. The checkouts are weird and slow. The rebate is marketing BS. Lack of knowledgeable help is rampant. Overall, it's a meh experience at best.

Customer service is sorely lacking. I used the website to find the supposed aisle to locate items I needed. Not only were the aisles not clearly numbered but my items were nowhere close.
I looked all over, felt lost, and not one team member (bar a young man) was willing to talk to me. They all conviently walked the other way even, did nothing, though they could see i was distressed. I was stuck there for an hour and never located certain items. I'll purchase it somewhere else. The store credit I have racked up there be damned. Certainly not worth my time. One young man directed me to the garden center with no results. Beyond frustrating!
Oh and that customer counter bar at the entrance doesn't work well and severly bruised me. I now dislike this place so much, I never want to return

Horrific customer service.
The boys (literal boys) working in the lumber yard need some adult supervision.
They were notified that a customer needed assistance with a large load of lumber. Not one but THREE boys on forklifts showed up just as we completed the work ourselves.
One of them casually said, “Do you guys need some help?”
The yard wasn’t so busy that all three forklifts were needed simultaneously. Lack of work ethic was shining brightly there today. They’re literally driving around on the forklifts as if they’re go-carts.
Menards, know better - do better.
Now you know.

Where do I even start. My husband and I came here about a week ago to price out some wood. We have never been here and thought it would be like other places similar. Boy were we wrong. After walking around the whole store finally found someone to help locate the wood we needed and it was more of a "it's over there" kinda help. Once we got to the outside shed we found the wood we needed but the only way to price check it was through a QR code, and we both left our phone in the car. So we decided to walk to the side where the deliveries and other truck were coming in through to see how the process was. Before we get to the guy in the little shack, he yells "use the doors to go inside" so we just decided to leave and come back another time with our phones. So here comes today... Today we came back, phones in hand and with the 16 footer as we planned to make a purchase. We drive to the guy in his little shack and it was nothing but attitude and a nightmare. As it was our second time coming and not knowing the process we thought all we had to do was drive through the gate get the wood and come back through and pay. No, it is was more difficult than that. First you have to go in the wood shed and scan the QR code and add it to the cart. But we had cash and there wasn't an option to pay for cash. So we ended up going back inside to talk to multiple people about how to pay for this wood with cash. There is literally no signs or anything that tell you how to do anything because obviously things are done way differently than what I'm use to. So eventually we went back to the wood yard and brought the wood inside the store and took it to a register. And the person scanning says there is no bar codes on these and thank God my husband took a picture of it to avoid having to walk all the way back to the wood just to get the code. All in all, if it's your first time except no help, and except to know how things are done, because no one in that store will help you. And make sure you have your phone because price tags don't exist on a lot of things.

Harley Owens is an awesome member of the Menards team. I’ve found this store a pleasure to work with. Harley’s attitude and attention to details greatly assists us to provide quality materials to our clients. Keep it up Harley, you’re doing a great job! Wish I could shake your hand and tell you face to face.

Planning a large home improvement project, the staff were extremely helpful in assisting me with ordering the necessary materials. Prices are very competitive. Check them out, I believe you will be pleased with what you find.

Go anywhere else. This store jerks their customers around more than any other in town. It's like they don’t know we don’t need them.

I loaded 108 pieces of lumber all by myself while the new store manager stood there gabbing and flirting with his crew the entire time. He didn’t once ask if I needed assistance, even while there was a line of trucks forming behind me, waiting until I was finished. I guess he considers himself above getting his hands dirty. He should put on a dang pair of gloves and set an example for his workers. I’ll take my business somewhere else next time.

I so desperately want to love this store because it reminds me of going to Menards back home in Wisconsin, but unfortunately the store in Cheyenne has a lot to learn about customer service. The corporate office, part of a business that built its reputation on neighborly customer service, should care more that their non-Wisconsin employees don’t seem to care. I’m not sure I will ever go back to the garden center here.
