Great experience to feed bisons, while for kids, the window is little too high to reach bisons

Downside. If the hours that are on the website are for the Summer hours, please update it for the Fall hours. A lot of the animals were not out or moved.
The gift shop had a lot of different and cool items.
Since it was the closed top train, there was not a lot of room in the front/back of train to stand and feed the animals. Still a great time for the kiddos. Really should be for 5yrs and older.
Food and drinks: Oh for sure go to the Saloon. Lunch was amazing. Good food for the price you are paying. Margarita was strong in liquor but not in Margarita flavor.

Made the drive from Denver to come visit the ranch. The bison tour was well worth the drive and the price. Once in a lifetime experience. Our train conductor was knowledgeable and nice. The other animals around the ranch were great as well. Highly recommend visiting.

Safety: I was skeptical about this place and the room where we stayed, but it was safe.
Noteworthy details: You can pet the animals, and the bison feeding experience was awesome.

We had a great time at Terry Bison Ranch on our trip from UK. The train tour was great fun & very informative. Our driver/guide, Luke, was excellent and clearly loves his job.
Feeding the Bison was a highlight of the whole trip.
The food in the restaurant was very good, too.
All-in-all, we were surprised at how much we enjoyed our visit.

The old train ride to see (& feed) the bison was the BEST.

My husband and I were passing through WY when we saw the ranch from the interstate and stopped by. That evening, the front desk staff member was extremely welcoming and advised us to visit them in the morning and take the Bison train through the ranch. I purchased a Groupon that saved us about $20 on tickets. Tickets were $20 per adult. We arrived the following morning for the first train at 9am. Unfortunately, the train was not able to start for the morning due to a mechanical issue. No problem at all and we enjoyed talking to the guide. He was very friendly and interesting to talk to. He apologized profusely and kept us entertained while they worked on the train. We went back to the store and were told they do not issue refunds, but were going to give vouchers for another ride free of charge. This is great for locals, but we have traveled thousands of miles and most likely will not be back to redeem the vouchers. I can understand no refunds for locals, but I would attempt to accommodate out of state visitors. At first, they were not even willing to refund the $10 very small bag of bison feed (which we later learned there were buckets and buckets of feed on the train, seemed like a very unnecessary purchase). Eventually, they said they would only refund the feed after I informed them how inconvenient that is. My husband was able to negotiate some bison meat in exchange. Overall, the experience seemed great until they were not willing to accommodate us for not getting to use our tickets. I would recommend visiting the ranch, great experience. Full of many animals to see. However, beware that if the train does break down, they will not refund you if you are out of state. You will get a voucher. I would also not recommend purchasing the feed bag for $10. Seems very overpriced. Seems like a well working ranch full of good people, but I would consider changing your refund policy.

My girlfriend and I stopped in during the off season in January and still had an amazing experience. The bison burgers were out of this world, and the servers were incredibly kind and helpful. We did a train tour with the ranch hand and he was very knowledgeable, funny and kind. The Bison were much larger up close and fun to feed and watch. We will definitely be visiting again next time we are in the Cheyenne area! 10/10!

Awesome train tour! Meet bison up close and personal. Steakhouse serves up delicious draft beer and bison cuts. Touristy but super cool! A must see.
