I went to the teller at the Carey St. branch to cash in a Western Union check, sent from Boston. U. S. Bank REFUSED to cash it unless I OPENED AN ACCOUNT WITH THEM. When asked why this is the case, the teller informed me that it'd HAVE TO WAIT TO CLEAR. Western Union was founded in 1851. Did it become insolvent overnight? Talk about sleazy business dealings.

SUPPOSEDLY, U. S. Bank is a WESTERN UNION agent. I had money wired to me from Boston. Just a little, as a gift from a family member to one of my grandchildren. When I went there to redeem the transfer, I was advised that U. S. Bank would NOT HONOR the transfer UNLESS I opened an account with THEM first. Why? I asked. "You need to have funds in your account to cover the WESTERN UNION transfer in case THEY don't have enough money. Can you believe this B.S.? Since when has WESTERN UNION become a financial risk?

This is the first bank in Cheyenne that made me feel like a valued customer. Lisa, Holly and Patrick were very friendly, professional and courteous. When other bankers would have given up because it was too 'hard', Holly just kept pushing through till she got my account approved, even if it meant staying back after hours. I cannot thank her enough for her outstanding work. Not only was she able to get my account approved on the same day I walked in, but she also provided a debit card for me to use right away... P.S. Lisa is the new manager at the branch and Holly a Business Banker that was brought by Lisa from previous bank.

I have had nothing but good luck with this bank branch! The staff is always very friendly and I have very seldom ever even had to stand in line to do anything in the lobby. I've also been a US bank member for almost 10 years and love their service over all. This branch is no exception, great service and a great staff!!

Paid a Cheyenne registered agent to get a bank account here. Had it for 1 week and they closed it because I was using a Wyoming registered agent address. At least they closed it fast so I wouldn't waste weeks linking up accounts.
