Great customer service. We were staying in Cody while on a road trip from Alabama and got a rock stuck in the brakes. The issue had fixed itself as we pulled into the auto shop but they still checked it out which was very reassuring before we started our drive back home!

Had a break down on a family vacation. These guys went out of their way to get me in right away and back on the road quickly, despite it being late in the afternoon. The service was great.
They replaced my alternator but also noticed some pulleys were on their way out too. They showed me the pulleys were wobbling and making noise. I know this isn't just an upsell but honest work - the new ones were much smoother.
It was great to find a trustworthy mechanic/tech and a quality shop. It sure beats dealing with my local dealership, and some of the other shops I've been to.
The parts were on the expensive side, but they were in town so I didn't have to find a hotel for the night. The labor rate was fair, and the mechanic was very efficient so it was a great deal.
The mechanic's dog was also great. Very friendly and kept my young kids busy and happy. He wouldn't let us take the dog though.
Very happy with the service. Wish these guys were in my town. Highly recommended.

We were driving through Cody on a family vacation and had some trouble with our truck. Although he was already extremely busy, the gentleman took the time to help us. He was very kind and was able to fix us right up.

Took my own oil and filter but that’s not the oil that went in my car. Also took my own battery I needed put in and since the oil change and new battery I’ve had constant car issues that I didn’t have before going here. Was charged almost $200 for simply changing my oil and putting my new battery in. Totally ripped off in every way.

The Auto a shop is a total professional operation. It’s well organized, clean, and properly equipped with excellent mechanics. Jay runs a top notch shop and takes good care of his customers. I highly recommend this good company. Jay just recently sorted out an issue with the manifold on my Ford F-250 and it’s back to running like brand new.Services: Engine repair

The Autoshop was recommended to me as the #1 shop in Cody and they didn’t disappoint. Jay and the crew were able to fit me in on short notice and troubleshoot my custom 4x4 van hub issues. With a bunch of phone calls and some overnight shipping they had me back on the road in a couple of days. They also provided me with several alternative solutions to save time/money and future issues. I’m not a local, but the next time I pass through Cody I’ll set up an appointment to have the Autoshop take care of whatever needs attention.

Huge shout out to Jay for helping save our vacation! Fremont Ford in Cody refused to spend the two minutes needed to diagnose the electrical issue, claiming they couldn't run it until four days later. Someone at O'Reilly recommenced Jay at Auto Shop, Inc. Thank goodness! Jay agreed to look at our Ford F-150 that morning. He even drove my husband back to our hotel. He called within three hours to explain that he changed all the spark plugs and the coil. And we didn't miss a beat on our vacation in Yellowstone. Thanks a million, Jay!
