DO NOT REPEAT DO NOT RENT FROM AVIS Had our car reserved for 4 months did have trouble getting system to put in right pick up time. When verified rental 2 days before to see if can change time said that would have to charge more but they had reservation but no guarantee will have car. When went to local office was told not even sure would have a car for me to pick up even at my regular time . Asked if my husband had to come told no. Day of pick up got car then when I wanted to add my husband was told had to be there told him I was told didn't have too. So had to have my husband leave work get there same guy said he was on as spouse. Told him that's what asked earlier and told me flat out I didn't say husband guy argued when asked his name said I don't have to tell you. I call avis wanted to file complaint was told would hear from supervisor of that office in 48 hrs as of this post no contact. they didn't even go over car so I video document anything I found.
So hope drop off is better and no extra charges or backlash from attendant.

$288 charge for being 20 minutes late and yelled at by desk workers totally unacceptable. NEVER AGAIN!

They were too busy to check the car in while I waited, I told them I left the keys on the dash and filled it up, then I get charged me $107 for fuel. I called to dispute and they could care less. Wouldn't refund me. I will never use Avis/Budget again. Hertz here I come !

My son and I recently rented a vehicle from Avis in Salt Lake City. Our reservation with that car was troubled from the beginning. By the time we reached Yellowstone National Park, the car's power steering had stopped working and numerous warning sensors were flashing on the dashboard. Instead of phoning the Avis Customer Support Center, we contacted the Avis location at Cody, Wyoming, since we were staying in a hotel at Cody. In fact, we drove to the Cody airport and discussed the situation with a lady at the Avis counter (unfortunately, I forgot to get her name). Clearly, from her apathy, she could not have cared less about our situation and did nothing to assist us. She told us that she had no available cars, although I found numerous cars available at that location at that very time via Avis' website and on the OTAs (online travel agencies). It was abundantly clear that she simply did not want to be bothered with our problem. After this disappointing encounter with her, we dove over two hours to the next closest Avis location at West Yellowstone. There, we were promptly and professionally assisted by Doug, who acted as if it was his greatest pleasure to help get us in a fully operational car. Thanks to Doug our vacation was salvaged. And so... my suggestion... if you are in the area and need a rental car, do not waste your time with this Avis location. Make the drive and get your car at West Yellowstone!

Avis car rental was able to get us in a rental fairly quickly when we had some vehicle issues on our trip from NJ to Cody! While not cheap, we were able to tour Yellowstone and the Tetons as well as the surrounding areas and in town while our van was being repaired. Easy to get in and out of. Friendly staff!

Very good service considering the small airport and 1 staff member. Got the expedition max (premium suv) as promised which was big enough to accommodate 2 big suitcases and 7-8 of us. Vehicle was in excellent condition and performed very well considering we drove from Cody to Yellowstone and back. Also good mileage around 22 mpg. Highly recommend this rental facility.

If you get a rental, I hope you get Kodi to serve you! We had a different lady at first and were having difficulties and basically did nothing to try and help us! But Kodi was amazing. Customer service is about trying to do everything you possibly can to help and she went above and beyond for us! And so nice and friendly! She should be recognized! The Avis survey didn’t give us the option to mention her name!

I give Erin at Avis Cody Airport 5 stars 5 times over! She was super helpful in getting us into a vehicle after our van was totaled. And, she continued to support us when we needed to keep the rental for a couple more days and to drop it off in a different location. She/Avis was a vacation saver!

I called avis in advance because I was worried about trying to rent a car with a debit card. The customer service rep assured me that i would be able to do so. He told me that this location accepted debit. I said ok great and booked a reservation a month before my trip out to cody. However upon arriving to cody the counter had a big red sign that read no debit accepted at this location. So basically i was just stranded at the airport. Luckly for me hertz rent a car hooked me up. Avis almost ruined our vacation. I wouldnt recommend this place.

Very easy to access rental car. Was given an automatic upgrade. The helpful staff stayed after hours when we arrived late.
