After returning the truck we rented for overnight to the same Hertz in Florida, we received a phone call a few weeks later stating there was a scratch on the truck and we were charged $50. There was no scratch. We know that for a fact. We will walk before we ever rent from this so called company again.

Our new rental Bronco had someone previously smoked in it to which I have allergy. We didn’t notice the smell until we turned on the AC and we were far from pick up spot (SLC, UT). None of the auto parts stores had cabin air filters available for replacement. We have also stopped at jackson hole hertz rental, and they pretty much told us they couldn’t do anything for us.
Thankfully, when we made it to the Cody airport Hertz, Corey went above and beyond. He offered to clean the AC system right away, and the difference was noticeable right away. He was kind, understanding, and acted quickly.
Thank you, Corey, for greatly improving our Wyoming trip!
For those interested, I later found a Ford dealer which had cabin air filter(those are hard to find for a new car) I’ve included photos of the new vs. used filter (only 4,000 miles old). I guess check your a/c before driving off the lot :)

ok — amazing experience with the folks here. they treated me so well and were incredibly helpful with my rental / travel situation. especially the male manager (think he was the manager) anyway, 10/10 would recommend them! they were rock stars and helped me out a lot!!

Corey was the best. Super friendly and welcoming and provided great customer service. I’m glad I went with Hertz rather than the other options at Cody. Hertz had a much better selection of cars and Corey and the team were great. They made what is usually a dreaded experience (dealing with car rentals) quite pleasant. I’ll definitely use them again in the future and recommend others do too.

Hertz, Dollar, Thrifty seem to be all owned by the same company (overlandwest.com) so price is expected to be high. Regardless, I did have good experience here unlike my previous rental at Kona (Big Island Hawaii) Hertz. Both charged me ridiculous rates (which seems to be 'normal' nowadays) but I do appreciate that at Cody, they gave me a new car with just 5000 miles (vs beat up Kia sedan with over 30k miles in Hawaii while charging me over $200/day) and upgraded me to RAV4. And this upgrade came in very handy because it snowed for two days, which I was not expecting when I booked.It was quick to pick up and return the vehicle. No issues.

We had a horrible experience, I don't recommend it after an hour in line with an online reservation they told us they had no cars available. I do not recommend it
