I can’t speak to staying at Trail Shop Inn, but I can certainly say, if you’re in the area, the restaurant is outstanding. And our waitress was the best. I wish I could remember her name. She had worked in New Orleans and understood our desire to have sweet tea, and knows dumping granulated sugar in a cold glass of tea is not the way we do it!!

The staff was great. Rooms are clean and neat. The food in the restaurant was delicious. Highly recommend the Walleye. Close proximity to Yellowstone.

We stayed here for three days while visiting Yellowstone. The cabin room was very cozy, and the view was very scenic. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only issue was we had a hungry mouse in our room.

The photos online show a nice clean cabins but that was not the case in my experience. I found them to be run down, out of date and extremely dirty. There were stains on the bed sheets, carpets and towels with dead bugs in the cabin. What really made the experience bad was that they gave the cabin that I had reserved to someone else and got a lessor one without ac and without the king bed I requested.Beware before booking and would recommend staying elsewhere.

We come back here every chance we get! We had our wedding reception here 16 years ago and I love that they are still here!

The stay was nice enough. The plumbing here is weak though. Toilets don't want to flush and the shower didnt drain well either. Overall, it was ok.

We rely heavily on TripAdvisor reviews when finding hotels and restaurants when traveling. This place rated OK and was close to the East entrance to Yellowstone, so we booked it. When we arrived, we thought the place was abandon- no one else was there, and there were weeds and peeling paint. When we went into the office, the furniture was all disheveled. But there was someone working. He was nice and attentive. The cabin we stayed in was OK, and you could tell someone had been working on the place. The attendant told us there were labor shortages and they were hurting. The place has promise, but needs help.

We arrived very late. The front desk closed at 10 p.m, but an attendant was waiting for us another 30 min. The cabin was nice, clean and well kept. Unfortunately, we had no chance to try their restaurant. Would definitely stay there again.Thank you!

Best money we spent. Rustic, but comfortable and clean. There is no food or drinks.Cody has a rodeo at 8pm, but it is a half hr drive.Ignore the signs going west on the highway that say "No Thru Trafgic to Yellowstone." The east gate to Yellowstone is wide open.
