A very rare unusual place. Beautiful view of the Valley. Walking around the tower took an hour.

One of the most awe-inspiring monuments in the USA, surprisingly serene to just walk around and take in the sheer scale of it. Really cool to see it slowly rising out of the trees on the drive towards it. Just respect the Natives by not taking photos of what’s on the trees.
Toilets: Restrooms near the visitors center

Great perimeter walk, beautiful sights of nature and wildlife, definitely worth visiting.
Toilets: Over by the campground, the bathrooms are pristine. By the visitor center, they smell terrible.
Dog-friendliness: Although there are 'no pet' signs for the walk around the perimeter, people ignore the signs and take their dogs anyway. Very disappointing.
Picnic area: Great picnic areas, well kept.

So cool to see in person finally. Ever since the movie Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind.

I am Native American. We consider this place as sacred, so when I come here, I come to pray. It's a beautiful place but what's so disheartening is, it's a tourist trap & the people who climb it. It's sad how the tourists bring interruption & interference to a place we come to pray.
Playground: No playgrounds here.
Toilets: Restrooms are down below the Visitor Center and for those of us who are disabled, it's hard getting down the stairs.
Dog-friendliness: I think you have to keep animals on a leash.
Picnic area: I didn't notice any picnic tables but that doesn't mean there aren't any somewhere. I am disabled this year so I didn't get to walk around

Magnificent and amazing!! We arrived late. Most visitors were leaving. We took the 1&1/2 mile walk around the monument. It was so nice. Quiet, just wind in the trees.

Great scenery place and picnic isn't that good...only good if it's family camping...it's sad you can't even have a camp fire at night to enjoy with family or grill anything...

Amazing site, gorgeous at sunrise. It’s fun to see climbers preparing to scale the side. It made me miss climbing and thinking maybe I should come back next year to climb it.
The guy in the visitor’s center 10/26/24 morning was super rude. He is desperate for some customer service training. I asked if he would get a T-shirt down for me and he said no. I said please, and he shoved it into my hand. Moments later, I was looking at a shelf and he said “coming through” and I had no idea where to move or how I could be out of his way. He barged past me anyway.

We did the 1.6 mile path. It was a very nice experience. The path is paved, there is one part that is slippery even when dry. I think it is on the north side between the trailhead and the picture spot.
