I'm sure the interior of the visitor center is neat, but unfortunately though we visited on a Saturday afternoon it was locked. The outside however is very cool, you can walk around the outside of the roundhouse and see abandoned trains and tracks, including the round turntable. Worth a quick visit if you're in Evanston.

Wasn't much of a visitor center because there was nobody there to greet you and it was closed so anyways it was a place you can go and look at but it wasn't very welcoming to the city and couldn't give you any tourist information or anything related to the city what people would actually go therefore it would have helped if they were open or at least posted their business hours.

We rented it for work meetings, its a great space. Its quiet, even though there are train tracks 100 ft away. The foot and a half thick brick walls block everything out. The only issue we had were the tourists, I mean it is a visitor center. We put up a sign that said closed for private function and it stopped the interruptions.
