From Eastern Shoshone Tribe
The Eastern Shoshone Tribe is located on the Wind River Reservation in Central Wyoming- with main headquarters in Fort Washakie. Important places found here: Chief Washakie Cemetery & Sacajawea Cemetery. The Tribe has roughly 4,400 enrolled members. EST owns several enterprises including the Morning Star Care Center, Wind River Dialysis Center, EST Construction, Tribal Sinclair Service Station and Shoshone Rose Casino & Hotel. They're linguistically and culturally related to other tribes of the Great Basin area, including the Western Shoshone, Bannock Shoshone, Ute and Paiute, and the Comanche Tribe of the Southern Plains region. Shoshone is a Numic language and part of the larger Uto-Aztecan language family.
