A sham of insurance - BCBS is excellent in other states but not Wyoming. There's no competition so they can charge exorbitant rates and cover next to nothing -- NO lab tests, next to nothing in obgyn. Now they're refusing to cover the annual pap smear they claim to cover, because there was a minor anomaly last year, now resolved. What b******** not to mention gender and age discrimination. I can't wait until universal healthcare puts these greedy bigots out of business.

Horrible customer service. The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing and all the representatives are rude. I had a routine visit to my in-network primary doctor for a sinus infection in early February which falls under the $30 copay. The claim was processed and I got a bill from my doctor for $262. I received the EOB that said it had been applied to my deductible. Immediately I called BCBS-WY and they sent it back for review. It still came back showing I owed $262. Called again and once again they re-submitted. I received a message in my online account stating the EOB is correct and it was not paying because it was an out-of-network doctor! This is my primary which claims have been successfully processed for in the past. I had her look up the doctor and she said she is definitely in network. And what doesn't even make any sense is they applied the amount to my "in-network" deductible when they claimed I saw an out-of-network doctor. Called AGAIN 3/28 and spoke with Sylvia. I was told that the reason now is because I saw a specialist and that does not fall under the copay, but the deductible! They can see going back in my claim history that this is my regular primary doctor and my regular clinic. She's even listed in the BCBS-WY physician's list as a family practice doctor, not a specialist! Resubmitted again. This has been going on for 2 1/2 months and I called once again today and spoke with Debra. Same song and dance. They said they would resubmit. I asked her why this is taking so long. Her response... "it just does and others have been waiting for much longer." Wow! This isn't a complicated claim. No hospital stay. No expensive procedure or surgery. This was a 15 minute routine primary care office visit. When asking to speak to someone who can expedite this all they tell you is no one is available and that the "researcher" has to make the final decision..... whoever the "researcher" is. We have been with several insurance companies through out the years. Some have been BCBS in other states which have been excellent. BCBS Wyoming is by far the worst insurance we have ever had when it comes to claims, competency and member service. Downright rude people.

Paid every single dollar after a massive cardiac event, but not without some work. Very hard to get a hold of a person who can help as the office in person staff knows nothing about cases.

Refuse to reimburse the COVID vaccine for some plans and tell the healthcare providers they should have turned the customer away and sent them to Albertsons

I was just denied a claim for a life saving device that I will need for the remainder of my life. They deemed it by their "Medical Professional" as exploratory. I have no hope that they will ever cover anything that is "lifesaving" I now have to submit documentation from Medical Doctors from across the country to get this approved. Pathetic.

Stood outside for 45 minutes today waiting for them to come back and open the office back up. At 1:45 I left, and the place was still closed.

I thought I set up an automatic payment but something didn't get set up properly and then they cancelled my insurance without even a phone call letting me know I haven't paid my premium. I can understand them cancelling due to lack of payment but no warning no phone call no nothing and now I won't be insured until the open enrollment period

Bank Fraud!!! That is what I was told to report after Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wyoming took multiple auto debits from my checking account today. After checking my bank statement, I noticed Blue Cross Blue Cross Blue Shield had made two debits for my monthly medical insurance premium, one of which, $1400, was not for my premium this month. I called their billing/administration department to report the error, and they denied the second larger debit. I e-mailed the call taker the bank statement with proof that both debits were from Blue Cross Blue Shield, and she still denied they have a record of the withdrawal and to file a fraud claim with my bank. My bank was shocked that Blue Cross denied the withdrawal and confirmed it was them.
