Came here to demo some snowboards. Matt was super helpful and knowledgeable. I'm a beat-up grey beard lazy rider. Matt took the time to talk to me about all the boards and what would suit my boomer style the most. Tried a few boards, picked an awesome one (20% sale!) and rode off into the sunset. Pretty clutch that they have a sister store by Bridger gondola so you can switch demo boards during the day. 100% recommend this shop.

I came in to get my board waxed and decided to look around at some other boards. Toby talked me through some boards and was helpful and insightful and we landed on having me demo a Jones dual mountain. Hoback also has a pretty cool 20% deal going on for boards and bindings if you demo them so I was convinced. What i didn't realize when i walked away with that board was how beaten up the edges were. On my first run with this board, I was on my toe edge and it slipped out and I fell pretty hard making my shoulder and head hurt. There was another run where the heel edge completely slipped out from me in a scenario that I have done many times on my other two boards without the same issue. This really made me timid the rest of the day as I felt the edge with my finger and it was jagged at some parts. If that board would have been in a better scenario and given me an awesome day on the mountain I would've been walking out with a new board, bindings, and bag from that shop. I was also surprised to see that my own board had a wax dripping on the top of the board and over the edge.

Left the car in the parking and when came back got a ticket for parking, nice job with customer service! Now have to pay 100$ extra for parking not only for their crazy prices!

Don is the man for boot fitting. Just a good dude who is extremely knowledgeable. Would 10/10 recommend going to him if he has availability.

Had a great experience renting a couple road bikes for a day trip up to Jenny Lake. Kennan in the bike department spent a lot of time with us making sure our saddles were properly adjusted and we could clip in etc. very high quality bikes and service!

The staff were awesome. It was the first time we wrote e-bikes and they answered our questions before and after the bike ride. We were testing out e-bikes that they rent and they were able to answer our questions about the differences in the bikes, how to work the electronics, distances we could travel, how to get the most out of the bike, etc. They even help us decide on a route to go to get the most in for the day. The rental was well worth the cost. We ride regularly so we were not saddle sore after the ride and we were glad we did have e-bikes after the ride. After our ride they entertained question about maintaining them, cost, and other questions we had after a 44 mile bike ride.

Great bike rental experience—was in and out and on my way in 5 minutes. The team was very helpful in showing me on a map the safest route to the bike path. Returning the bike was seamless as well. Would highly recommend!

Title: Deeply Disappointed by Customer Service ExperienceRating: ★☆☆☆☆I recently visited Hoback Sports with the simple intention of renting a couple of bikes for a peaceful ride with my young son. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the shockingly rude behavior of one particular employee, Keenan.Although we had called ahead to confirm the availability of bikes, Keenan was less than eager to assist us. He approached our request with a condescending, 'know-it-all' attitude, making us feel unwelcome from the very start. His tone was not just unprofessional, but downright offensive.Even my 6-year-old son noticed Keenan's rudeness, summarizing it aptly, "He just seemed like a jerk." I couldn't agree more.Hoback Sports is asset to the community that I hope their customer service improves, especially in an industry that is fueled by passion and a genuine desire to help others enjoy sports

Rented mountain bikes and paid for insurance with my kids. When we came to drop off bikes we were treated a bit like criminal, and told that they got a “report” of us “throwing” our bikes. When they inspected the bikes and found nothing wrong tried to walk it back to saying “throwing” means falling, but at the same time didn’t seem to ask to see if anyone fell and if everyone was ok. Be cautious renting, and if you do make sure you get insurance as they seem as though they are out to get their customers for extra costs. One of the worst customer experiences I have had renting bikes.

What a great experience I had getting a new downhill ski set up at Hoback Sports! Matt and Tyson were especially helpful. Matt was knowledgeable about the gear, and spent a lot of time with me, listening to my skiing ability, and making sure I had the perfect fit. Then Tyson went above and beyond to get my bindings mounted (during his lunch break no less) so we could get back on the road. We were passing through JH on our way to Big Sky from Lander, WY. I would highly recommend, and will definitely be back!

Saved me from needing to rent ski boots. I’m in Jackson skiing for the week and lost the rivet on my one boot. They fixed it up and I should be good to ski for the rest of the week! Thank you!

i ski with an old pair of boot but love them. the replaceable heel wedge had worn down and there were no new ones to be found. i looked everywhere form boot company to ski good ski shops i've frequented for many years. no luck . no where. i stopped in at Hoback Sports which is further away but they have helped before. the people there were great. "we've got tons of old stuff back there. let me look." he was gone a good while rooting around back there but, when he came back my boots were rescued. next season when i do get new boots, you already know where i will go.thanks and well done to the Hoback team.

I never write reviews but customer service was terrible…. I demoed some Black Crows Atris (900$ skis) on the mountain and wanted to come into the store and check out the new ones. And ask a few questions about last years model…. First employee “Kat” was cool admitted she didn’t know the answer. Then introduced the ski “expert”. He completely blew me off …. Take your money elsewhere

one star as no star is not availlable. staff have no idea of the equipment they sale. prices tagged are not the same on your invoice, with nonsense explanation and no correction. a place to avoid as they are quite better shops in town.
