This is the third year I have rented at Rendezvous River Sports and each year I'm impressed with their customer service and attention to detail. I rent a canoe and from the time I pull in to the time I pull out of the parking lot, it's maybe 10 minutes. They put the canoe on my car, show me how to load it, provide oars and life jackets and we are on our way. When I returned the canoe I had barely stopped the car when an employee was asking if they could help unload the canoe. In a time when great customer service is rare, this place stands out, great experience from start to finish.

Great shop! The staff was super helpful and friendly. They had the whitewater kayak I wanted to demo and the gear to go with it so I could spend an extra day paddling at the end of my work trip. Highly recommended.

We did the 1/2 day kayak on Slide Lake. Gil was our guide and he was great! He gave easy to follow directions on the kayaks and then we were off! He knew a lot about the area and was fun to hang with. We spotted pelicans, osprey and a bald eagle. Highly recommend and ask for Gil if you can!

Awful experience.
We stayed at the Jackson KOA, about 15 minutes south of town on the Snake river. We wanted to tube down the river to our campsite. We asked for guidance on if there were any hour-long trips.
The guy (or rather, the kid) at Rendezvous told us to put in at Wilson. That seemed far, but I trusted him.
It ended up being a four-hour trip. There were no places to pull out the tubes until shortly before our campsite. One of our friends has low blood sugar and nearly fell unconscious on the trip. When I told the guy at Rendezvous, he laughed and completely didn't care.
Terrible experience. Would not recommend to anyone. Go somewhere else.
2024 Update: I'm updating this review based on the owner's response (almost a decade later!) -- the fact that they've held onto this for the last 9 years really says a lot. It doesn't change the trip we had, but is a really positive step.

The staff were super helpful and nice. As a woman I get very intimidated to enter outdoor recreation stores but the guys in there were very kind and helped me figure out what I needed. They did additional research on the item I was purchasing to double check it was what I needed as I wasn’t 100% sure. Would definitely recommend.

Kat and the team at RRS are amazing. Not only is there shop the best, well stocked and have everything you need they were able to complete a difficult repair for me. Cannot appreciate RRS and the team enough. I will be back every year. Thank you so much

The equipment we got was old, one of the kayak the foot brace was broken, which made it very difficult to use. They load and unload kayaks for you and they secure them but they shifted and caused a problem. Seemed like summer help, not well trained.. They were inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. I would not recommend or use them again.

I would give 10 stars if I could. We rented an inflatable kayak for a day from Rendezvous Boat Rental. And it must be said, we have probably never experienced such a good service. All the staff were super friendly and advised us perfectly from the first minute on which section of the river and which boat would suit our ideas best and how to load it into the car. When then in the parking lot our engine no longer started, we would be helped so obligingly, we did not even have to ask. After our river tour was over we had some time and went back to Rendezvous to ask what else we could do with the boat, again they thought of everything we needed for the trip to String lake like the permit and cleaning the boat. We would recommend anyone who would like to rent a boat to use the great service of Rendezvous. Thank you!

We did an afternoon inflatable kayak trip on the Snake. John was a great guide and we had a fabulous time. The scenery was outstanding and the rapids were suitable for everyone

Did a private duckie tour on the Snake River. We did the 9 mile through the canyon and it was absolutely fantastic. We started with the waivers and gear at around 2 PM and were on the river from around 4 PM - 6 PM. Plan about 5 hours window for your trip. Totally worth it! Would love to come back. If you have the choice, ask for Haley, she is extremely knowledgeable and experienced guide who will make your trip so much more fun!
