Firstly I'd like to give a HUGE RAVE to Andrea and The Alpine House for helping raise over $24,000 for a 2 year old little girl who is battling kidney cancer!! Without your help, this wouldn't have been possible! So please know that the people at The Alpine House are serious Earth Angels behind the scenes and more that worthy of giving your business to! ?????Secondly I'd like to add that my husband and I have stayed at many places in Jackson, but by far, The Alpine House is a favorite! Its got a great location for being close enough to the square but also on a quiet street which is great for sleeping and relaxing! The breakfast is top notch, not a standard hotel breakfast, they really take their time to provide something fresh and on par with Jackson Holes fine culinary scene. The bedrooms and lounging areas are so cute, welcoming, and comforting! Everything was clean and tidy but also unique in comparison to other places in Jackson. I highly recommend staying here!

We live full-time about an hour outside of Jackson. We've spent a few evenings in Jackson over the years, but this was by far our most enjoyable. It was "shoulder season", so the crowds were down. The young lady that checked us in was delightful. The gentleman that prepared our breakfast was so kind and accommodating. The rooms simple but very comfortable. My wife is from Norway, so she enjoyed the decoration, knotty pine, etc. The even have a painting showing the story of the Birkebeiners skiing down the mountain saving the child-king of Norway.A definite recommend.Walkability: Easy walking to the Square and other areas.Food & drinks: Great, to-order breakfast.

Absolutely book this place! They’ve thought of everything and the service is top-notch. Javier took such great care of our family, paying close attention to some food allergies. He is a gem! We will be back ASAP!Nearby activities: Town squareWalkability: Right near town square, can’t get betterFood & drinks: Javier was the best! Breakfast was delicious every morning!

Oh boy.... not very comfortable room. Sorry really not worth 300 a night in off season. Breakfast and staff are great, but the rooms are a matchbox with no place to sit or put luggage. Not worth it

We were extremely disappointed that we wasted our money on this place! We planned this girls trip for months and thought we found the perfect place, au contraire! We stayed in October and they did not have the fireplaces turned on yet for the season, although I found out that they were closing shortly for the winter so, basically, they never have their fireplaces working! The rooms needed updating. The bed was uncomfortable as iwas the bedding, flat pillows, and terrible mattress. The breakfast was run by a couple of guys that looked too busy to make an effort. The strawberries had rotten spots on them, they ran out of cream, they ran out of syrup, and, although the menu said, it included potatoes, there were no potatoes - what gives?! We stayed there for five nights so as you can imagine, it really brought down the quality of our trip, though we tried to make the most of it. I was determined to tell people about our experience because I don’t want you to go and waste your money like we did , what made matters worse is that the woman at the front desk was snippy and rude. She must not have cared enough about the business to be kind to the guests and not to lie to their face about the fireplace. I did read some bad reviews before we booked, but I think next time we will listen to what people are saying! Like I said, there are a lot of other nice places to stay in town that are worth your money. Stay elsewhere and save the headache.Walkability: It was close to town, but that was really the only benefit

We have been going to alpine house every year for ten years. Our last trip- last weekend was very disappointing. They use to be known for fantastic chef prepared breakfasts. Fresh muffins, fruit and two or three gourmet entrees. The owners daughter would be in the dining room in the morning. Not now!!! No mo muffins or pastries, no more chef prepared entrees. No interaction with a server. Just a choice of eggs, bacon or poor quality pancakes. Afternoon cookies were only available on afternoon of the three nights we stayed.. So…. They have increased room rates significantly and lowered service to where it is no longer the special place we have been recommending to all our friends. Very disappointed.Food & drinks: No longer special of premium. See above

The breakfast is the best one in the town. Highly recommenedBut, first we got a room without airconditioner and the room is really hot during the night, which is not match the price of the room. Also you need to do most of the service by yourself because there is no workers stay in the hotel.

Loved it. Cozy and idiosyncratic, comfortable. Only issue we had was that the front desk was closed when we arrived at 7pm and we had to call another hotel to have someone come over and check us in.Overall we loved it though, would stay again.

I'll never go back...If you're a '60s hippie, this might be a perfect fit.To some, the quirkiness and eccentricities might seem attractive, but to me, they were just disappointing to the degree of extreme irritation.I had just come in from 12 hours of driving, and it was dark and drizzling outside. The last thing I wanted was to find the front desk abandoned and the door locked. There is a sign on the door that says to call some other place, and the manager will walk over and open the door. I didn't have my glasses on, so I couldn't read the sign.It took a good half hour to finally get things figured out. I gained entrance to the hotel, and the staff bubbled about the amenities completely oblivious to my growing frustration. I didn't care about the amenities. The room was on the second floor, with no elevator and very narrow stairs. I'm almost 70, and had to drag my bags up the stairs. Not good at all.The room was quite small, very clean. The bed was horrible. It was like sleeping on a trampoline. Squeaky frames and bouncy bed.The sink didn't have any way to unstop it once it was stoppered other than to stick your hand down in the accumulated water, and push on the stopper. It popped back up. Why do I need to put my hand in soapy shave water, just to unstopper the sink? The staff said there would be coffee available. The carafe was empty. That really set me off.The one saving grace is that breakfast was fantastic. Cooked to order, and delicious.

This little charming place is truly a jewel. Don't get me wrong, it is expensive for what they offer. But if you don't mind to pay more, you'll feel like home. The room was clean and looked very well taken care of.Rooms: Clean and charming.Walkability: Small, comfortable and easy to understand.Noteworthy details: Still offering "free breakfast" to their guests.

Super adorable B&B in Jackson, WY. Stayed with our kids (loft space was fantastic!, although not for littles, required ladder climb). Great location, walkable to everything. Free bikes. Breakfast was good (at least the first morning, second morning had some hiccups and language barrier challenges). Room was very clean. Appreciated the sustainable details and yummy shower products. Loved the robes. My only down side is the mattresses were not comfortable (bouncy, springy). And with the queen/full it made for a rough night.
