Bear Mountain Station is a unique little place and a great place to stop along the highway. It is a family owned and operated local shop, described as the best little stop and a pretty cool little convenience store. The location is beautiful and well worth the drive. The owners are noted as great hosts, genuinely down to earth, a joy to speak with, and a pleasure to talk with. They are characterized as one of a kind and salty with an opinion about everything. The shop offers snacks, drinks, good coffee, a small bar, and may serve food. While the convenience store selection is pretty limited, the customer service is awesome. Many visitors highlight their memorable experience, calling it the most amazing malt ever had and a definite topic of discussion long after the trip. The atmosphere is completed with cool art on the walls.
The most amazing malt I have ever had. This is definitely a great place to stop. It is well worth the drive and the location is beautiful.

My partner and I travelling thru America a few months back from Australia, we stopped in to get a drink and stayed for an hour. David and Judy are one of a kind, great hosts and just genuinely down to earth. If you're ever near by I recommend you pay them a visit
