The Medicine Bow Museum offers a delightful and insightful glimpse into the region's rich history. Visitors are welcomed by friendly volunteer ranchers and locals, who generously share their time and knowledge. The museum's collection spans a diverse range of artifacts, from old electronics and railroad memorabilia to Indian arrowheads and an authentic old-west kitchen. Guests can explore the intimate and well-curated exhibits, which provide a comprehensive understanding of pioneer life on the prairies. The museum also features a cozy upstairs area with original furniture and lace curtains, adding to the authentic frontier atmosphere. Donations are accepted, and the museum's prices are very reasonable, making it an accessible and rewarding stop for travelers. After exploring the museum, visitors can cross the street to the historic Virginian Hotel for a delicious meal, further immersing themselves in the spirit of the American West.

Free entry, so I can't complain. My one criticism is that I wish there were more interp signs. It was neat, I'm glad it exists! Very cute little museum!

Super friendly lady was just stopping to pick up some things and she let us in and wander while she was there! Super interesting history - the gas station across the street has the best coffee!!
