The cow elk we got back from this place was horrible. We got a 1/4 of the meat that we should have and the quality of the processing was the worst I’d ever seen! Very disappointing!

My husband brought in a whole mature cow elk, and we were expecting at least 50% of meat back from a 188lb. carcass. Only ended up with 60lbs which is under 32%. Called to ask if there was any meat left behind and was told this was normal. Anyone with experience working with other processors or doing the work themselves will know differently. If you want to overpay and give away your meat this is the processor for you.

Brought my deer in and wanted steaks I only got 4 steaks and the rest of the deer was made into burger not thrilled

I've bought 2 hogs and 1 quarter cow from Kompac meats, quality has been excellent as well as the price. Don't understand the low ratings other than maybe competitors trying to knock down their Google rating. The thing that I like the most is the packaging. They vacuum seal all the meat, this is awesome. I've gotten hogs before that we're paper wrapped, not a huge fan. Paper doesn't last as long as vacuum sealing, it's messy and there always the danger of freezer burn. Anyway I highly recommend.

Took my whitetail button buck here to get processed. They packaged it nicely. But the deer just doesn't taste right. It has a hairy flavor to it. I'm not sure if it was a processing problem or what but I've never eaten a deer that tasted like that.

I’m really impressed with value we got when we bought a quarter beef. We’ve had other experiences in town but they are the best we’ve had. We love the service, and the beef is the best we have ever gotten. They explained dry aging and it makes such a difference. I look forward to getting back there when this quarter is done.
