Clean stalls prepared for your horses, lots of parking. Very friendly even with our late arrival for horse overnight boarding.

I have been boarding my horses at this barn for about a year and I am from Texas you would think the owners would be around and getting coggins for boarders and overnight and vet records but they don’t require any proof also the owners are never coming to the boarders side of the barn some people at the barn don’t have a vet out to check them and some are starving these animals.I’m leaving this barn soon and last night a lady called me saying there was an emergency and my horses were hurt well I went out to check and they were fine then when we were driving past the barn one of the boarders was stalking me and she followed for 30 mins and a few minutes ago another boarder made a false accusation that I was stealing which is false

I'm intrigued by the anonymity of persons who would leave a review full of animus and vitriol...Being a "long term" boarder in Rawlins Equestrian/Carbon County Feed & Tack, (we have been boarding our daughter's three horses there for the past eleven months,) my daughter, wife, sons and I have found this business to be the exception, in accommodation, friendliness, policy (that makes us borders feel our horses are safe) and most importantly,,, Family! We have as a family, enjoyed the fact that every boarder here feels a sense of belonging and concern for the other members, their horses, their well being, or community! So one would have to ask: "Why would a person (who's name is actually Cheyanna Vogeler) post anonymously, as James W.? And post with such hostility?I believe Cheyanna knows that we (all of the long term boarders who were here and enjoying this family before she arrived to stir up her nastiness) Are ALL privy to her machinations! Keeping up with her lies, has been dizzying! Several boarders feel she has tried to swindle!Fortunately, she is leaving and we will no longer be burdened with her bitterness.Regardless, if you happen to be looking for a place to board either long term, or overnight? You will find Joe and Lindy James (and their son Jhett) to be impeccable hosts and genuinely concerned for the well being of their guests... The opinions of a resentful woman should not influence.Couple of Facts:- The turn out does have some rock in it,,, This is Wyoming. :)- The water troughs spring periodic leaks in the winter,,, YUP... This is Wyoming and the temperatures drop way below freezing much of the year and Joe does an incredible job of keeping them repaired. Try boarding your horse someplace else during a winter here and you will understand there is No Place Better. (have you ever met someone that can never be happy?)- EVERY boarder here knows that Lindy and Joe have full time jobs,,, then come home to take care of the store and property. It works,,, and it works well. Now that I've vented,,, I'll go back to being the guy that doesn't say things that are unpleasant about others. :)

This is by far the cleanest barn I have ever boarded in. The horses here are happy and healthy. The indoor arena is ALWAYS groomed and available to ride in. The owners make themselves available for questions and help. I have been there for 3 years and could not be happier.

THEY DO NOT REQUIRE A HEALTH CERT OR COGGINS FOR OVERNIGHT BOARDERS!!! Owners are never on the property. No bathroom for humans. Hookups are an extension cord. Turnout is an outdoor arena that is full of rocks and baling twine. Gate of turnout is usually left open by a boarder! I would recommend finding somewhere else.

My mom and I visited this diamond in the rough in search of discarded horseshoes to send back to Los Angeles to our family members as good luck. I spoke to Joe, who was more than willing to give us as many as we needed, which was very generous of him. We met his wife and son, who were very, very polite and extremely friendly. They are the nicest people we have ever met! Thank you for the good luck! May it come back to you ten fold.

I know places to board horses are hard in Rawlins to find but if other options are available, go with the other option. The small stalls and water troughs were filthy when I moved in, I had to clean them myself before I could move my horse in. There is only one turn out arena and it is always too crowded to turn my horse out. Customer service is nonexistent. Management is not helpful and not friendly. Some of the stalls have automatic waters but mine is constantly leaking and saturating my stall bedding, management will not fix it; she tells me that my horse is the problem. Overall the facilities are not bad but considering how much money I fork over to this place every month, I would think that the management would not be so rude and hateful to me. I used to enjoy riding, taking care of my horse and just hanging out at a barn. Since having boarded here, I have came to hate it simply because of the way the management treats me.
