This review is for the tent camping and lodge restaurant. Really enjoyed our two night stay here in mid-August. Scenic lakeside camping with secluded spots. Clean hot showers and restrooms. Charming, rustic lodge with abundant hospitality. Popular spot for fly fishing. Delicious, filling breakfasts served that were just the ticket to start our days of rock climbing in Ten Sleep.

We were at the cabins for a family wedding. The location of cabins beautiful. We stayed in the hotel/ lodge rooms. The room for one night was $224.00 per room per night. We had 3 rooms for our family alone none of the rooms had soap ! Also the coffee machines no coffee pods , or just one cup per double room! Also you had to haul your own trash out, other wise they charged $ 50.00 fee. The cafe was very good and the service was friendly. For the price of these rooms I was very disappointed !! Only positive was the location and food at cafe.Rooms: Dingy, dead moths, no soap in rooms, coffee maker had no coffee or maybe one pod and no cups, had to haul out own trash or be charged $50.00.Food & drinks: Food in cafe was good. Our male server was very nice.

Amazing vacation! We stayed in the Love Dove cabin, right next to the lake! The restaurant has delicious food ? And Laura the manager is so friendly and sweet!

Fantastic camping experience here. I didn't stay in the cabins, so I can't speak to them. Laura and her staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind; I really enjoyed interacting with them over the few days I was there climbing in the canyon. Clean, well-working bathrooms; fast wifi in the restaurant; BEAUTIFUL, picturesque campsites down by the lake. The only reasons I don't give them 5 stars is because I'm comparing them to other "climbing campsites" like the Rock Ranch (down the canyon) and Miguel's (RRG), where they have ample amenities, like covered wifi areas, a place to wash dishes, and fridges/freezers to store food that needs it. I admit that's pretty picky, but if Miguel's in the Red can afford those amenities for $5/night of car camping (these guys charge $20-30 for car camping), I'd imagine these guys could figure it out when they're charging ~$200/night for their 15-20 cabins. Then again, I'm probably not be their target market, so what do I know? ?Overall, a very positive experience here. This was absolutely a great alternative to not being able to stay at the Rock Ranch, since it was booked up. These guys deserve your business; just do your research on the amenities so you're not disappointed when you don't get your Marriott experience.

We rode the motorcycle up the mountain on a far colder day than we should have, so we stopped in for some hot coffee and a good lunch! I have heard the cafe isn't always open or it's very seasonal so we may have lucked out! It's a beautiful area to hike and relax in the quietNearby activities: There is a lake for fishing and recreation. The forest is great for hikes

Rented two cabins for two nights about two months in advance, got there and the lake was half drained due to spill way repair. Was never told about the lake being drained, still had to pay $200 per night each cabin. Totalled almost $900 for the weekend. Only one toilet worked, they were out of live bait, ice and basically out of food. The three meals they did have were $15 a piece. No dumpster, what you packed in you packed out. Was very sad to see Meadowlark in it's current state, used to be an amazing place. Very disappointing.

Meadowlark is in the Big Horn Mountains of NE Wyoming. Wife and I were visiting relatives who live about 45 miles away in Buffalo. We were driving east from Work and, Wyo and went through Ten Sleeps Canyon and the town of Ten Sleeps ... Picturesque is the way to describe it .. The lodge is right next to highway, easy access, plenty of parking... We're greeted promptly at the door by a very attractive, friendly lady, seated and served promptly. Breakfast was excellent, service was great. The staff of the establishment is friendly and talkative... Some guests had complaints about room amenities... Their concerns were handled promptly and courteously... Will definitely stop again.. in fact, we went back the next night for hamburgers... Which were perfect!

Our room in the Sioux cabin was filthy. Dog food on the floor and the bed looked like it had been slept in. We used our own sheets. The adjoining door to the room next door was open and could not be locked until my husband and son adjusted the dead bolt with a screwdriver. The carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in a very long time. No battery in the smoke alarm. The door code given to us worked. The day we left I found a card tucked in to a picture frame which had a different door code on it. I tried it and it also worked. Management said they did not know how to change the door code. Unacceptable when many guests go through the same door each week. Door codes should be changed after each guest. This cabin was not worth the high price we paid for it. Very disappointed as we like coming to Meadowlark Lake Lodge. I heard it has new owners so hopefully things will change.

We were driving through the Big Horns after a long hard hike and decided to stop in for supper since the place my husband had had a burger at years ago had closed down. We had one of their special burgers and it was they were super yummy. The beers were not on tap however they were good and cold. On our way out we had to grab a brownie for dessert. It was homemade and huge and super yummy! The dining room is cutely decorated and has a great view of the lake. The wait staff was excellent. Will be back next time we are in the area.

I’m gonna try to be positive but real. I agree with the other reviews. It does look rundown and abandoned. We seemed to be the only party there on a Friday evening in July while it was gloomy and rainy. It was creepy. We rented a rustic cabin on the lake which has access to the bathhouse except they lock the bathhouse and didn’t give us the code so no access to plumbing/toilets/shower the first night. That was a real bummer. When they arrived the next morning to the lodge we went to tell them but they were definitely not apologetic. They said the code should be in the room but honestly-it looked like no one had been in our room for some time. It was clean-ish but with cobwebs, moths, etc. bedding was clean so that was positive. The other odd thing is they don’t have any garbage cans or garbage bags in the cabins. They say you have to take your own garbage out which is kind of a lot to ask when we do r even have a garbage bag to take it in. And what do we do drive with the garbage in the car for the trip home or dump it in some gas station garbage piece by piece. Just weird. The location is excellent. Beautiful view of the lake and distance to trail heads. It has so much potential but I think maybe it should do some major renovations before renting rooms. We ate breakfast at the lodge Sunday morning. It was good. Waitress was new and order wasn’t right but she was trying. Would I stay again? Probably not for $200/night. It was very over priced.

This is a review of the cafe, which I visited Sunday, 7/31/22. I know nothing about the other aspects of the Lodge. I was out on my bike roadtripping over the mountain from Lovell to Ranchester to Buffalo and back over 16 to Worland. It was lunch time (12:38) when I stopped hoping to get a bite to eat. They had a limited menu which included a hamburger/ cheeseburger, a chicken strip basket and a Philly cheesesteak. I opted for the cheeseburger which was a nice juicy patty with a setup of good (not wilted) lettuce a tomato slice and 3 or 4 pickles, don't remember the onion if it was there., served on a toasted bun. The fries were freshcut, not frozen and good. It got real special when I asked if they had pie and coffee for desert. I was informed that they did not have any pie but there were cinnamon rolls. AMAZING!! That had to be the best cinnamon roll I've had in the last 20 years, honestly! The coffee was just as good. What a glorious way to ride down the highway, stuffed to the gills! Yeah, it wasn't cheap, but like I told a tourist from Indiana You're at a resort, expect to pay resort prices.. 10 out of 10, WILL be back again

My girlfriend and I turned into the lodging area because we were unfamiliar with the area and were trying to turn around. As we were leaving a man in a pickup nearly ran into us then got out to ask which cabin we were staying in. I told him we just needed to turn around. He then proceeded to yell at us about how the area was only for lodge guests, which I completely understand. I respectfully apologized and that seemed to enrage him even more. I apologized multiple times but he just continued to scream at us.
