Torrington Cinemas

Torrington Cinemas is a hometown movie theater with a lot of history, recently renovated to be much nicer. It is more than just a small town venue, described as an awesome little movie theatre with a great atmosphere. The theater goes above and beyond to bring the latest movies, support the community with events like free movie showings, and host private events. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. The place is impressively clean, with comfortable chairs, good sound, and good picture. It can get pricey with the goodies, but prices are generally great. A highlight is the best popcorn and delicious frozen yogurt around, including special treats. The new owners are awesome, keeping the place open for the community, with profits going to overhead. Communication is frequent on their Facebook page for updates and movie requests. A note is that the upstairs theater has a lot of very dark steps, which may be a concern for some.
