“We found Wright Hotel completely by chance, and I’m honestly glad our cross-country trip took the turn it did. Our family was traveling through when our vehicle broke down, and what could have been a stressful situation turned into discovering a true hidden gem.
From the moment we arrived, the hospitality of the staff was outstanding. Everyone was welcoming, kind, and genuinely cared about making sure we were comfortable during an unexpected stop. That level of service means a lot when you’re traveling with family and dealing with car trouble.
The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and surprisingly nice—exactly what you hope for but don’t always find on the road. The rooms were well kept, quiet, and a perfect place to reset after a long day.
And the Open Range Steakhouse? Phenomenal. Great drinks, excellent food, and a warm, relaxed atmosphere. The steaks were on point, and it felt like a place locals love—which is always a good sign.
What started as a breakdown ended up being one of the more memorable stops of our trip. If you’re passing through Wright, Wyoming, do yourself a favor and stay here. We’d absolutely go out of our way to come back.
Highly recommend.”
“Great rooms when you're traveling through and scared to hit one of the millions of antelope and deer darting for your car on the expressway at night. Seriously. Friendly staff, nice rooms with small kitchen, impressed by channel selection and propane grills for guest use. Stayed an extra day to decompress from a long trip.”
“This is a dining experience for anyone who wants to experience rural northeastern Wyoming foods and culture. The food is amazing with local Buffalo from Durham Ranch, Wright Wyoming. The people are friendly and embody an era of America in the 1950s that is seen on “classic” movies. Residents love their town with activities such as homemade chili and Bingo at the library for families and residents of Wright.Stop by the Open Range Restaurant, you won’t be disappointed.Safety: Small rural town reminiscent of 1950 America.”
