“For all you adventurers out there who travel far and wide to Watson Lake, Yukon Territory to leave personal imprints at famous Sign Post Forest, and for some who maybe haven't come prepared...all you need to do is stop by here at the Home Building Centre for the supplies.Yes, that's right...just down the road from Sign Post Forest is this locally owned hardware store that will sell you your very own blank canvas signboard, including a hammer and nails.And quick backstory...at first I was envious of others when I explored Sign Post Forest being mesmerized by the thousands of creatively expressive signs dispersed throughout town.It wasn't until I walked into the Watson Lake Visitor Centre that I learned this Home Building Centre even offered the necessities involved for leaving your personal expression sign within the forest.I was pretty excited to post my own sign, and it's very clever of this Watson Lake Home Building Centre to carve out blank signboards and have them for sale to folks who may be interested in participating in the fun.I actually did have a marker to write on, but other items cost roughly under $15. And that's $15 Canadian = which equals $10 US.What a terrific deal at least for me, who didn't know Sign Post Forest existed prior to arriving in Watson Lake. But yet, given the chance to leave a footprint and tell my story within the forest made the stop at Watson Lake totally memorable.Btw, prices were....- The wooden signboard - $5- Hammer - $7- Nails - under $1Doesn't get more affordable than that!So ultimately, I believe this Watson Lake Home Building Centre is a saving grace for all road-trippers throughout Yukon helping folks customize innovative boards for their Sign Post Forest experiences.Lastly just to mention...the store sells all goods you'd expect to find from a quality hardware store. That's reassuring because Watson Lake is located in a remote region and this Home Building Centre can be a one-stop-shop for everything.”
