Jack's Restaurant & Bar
1029 Newpark Mall Rd, NewarkI had the Polenta, delicious! They have a varied menu with several Greek items. There is patio dining when the weather warms up. It can get a little noisy inside. We were there while a basketball game was on. Highly recommend a visit here.

Rice and Spoon Vietnamese Cuisine
7060 Jarvis Ave, NewarkAbout 10 minutes away from Coyote Hills Regional Park. A clean and cozy restaurant for friends to hang out after a hike. Vietnam style ice coffee without the cream is pretty good. Recommend.

SAFFRON GRILL
5970 Mowry Ave, NewarkI'm a local. This place never fails. It's family operated and they really take pride in the food they make. Service is 10/10 always no matter how busy they are. They make you feel like you're important as a customer. Might be a little tough to eat inside with a very large crew since there isn't much room but I usually just get my gyro to go anyway. It's my favorite gyro in the Tri-City area.

Vinum Japanese Fusion & Bar
2025 Newpark Mall Rd, NewarkVinum is one of the best places to hang out or go on a date any night. We went there on Friday and met Henry, our server. He was super nice and attentive. Henry went over the menu with us and recommended a few drinks. The food was delicious and came out quickly. The prices were decent, and the portions were good for sharing. The restaurant wasn't noisy, and there was a good view near the window. Henry always checked on us and was very friendly. Even though Friday was a busy night for him, he still constantly checked on our table to make sure we had everything we needed. We loved the place and the service so much that we came back on Tuesday night. We met Henry again, and once again, he gave us excellent customer service. I would highly recommend this place for the food, drinks, ambience, and of course, the customer service. Check them out if you're undecided on where to go for a date night!

My Cafe
5475 Thornton Ave, NewarkLoved this place. Took a bit to get coffee and water on a Sunday morning but it was worth it when the food came. I had a crepe (yum), churro pancakes (divine) and the burrito (smothered in gravy). It was delish.

Bistro 880
39900 Balentine Dr, NewarkSpending the night and the restaurant offered a weekend prime rib special downstairs and we thought to give it a try. The salad was beautiful and included heirloom tomatoes which popped with flavor in my mouth. The prime rib had just enough but not too much marble. They included mashed potatoes and were willing to substitute carrots for the asparagus. A lovely presentation and plenty of food. I ended up taking 1/2 home with me. Dessert was a light cheese cake which was perfect after feasting on prime rib. Even the coffee exceeded expectations. All in all pleasantly surprised by the presentation and quality of the meal! To top it off, our server, Veronica, was attentive without being intruding. She took great care of us and went beyond what was her responsibility to make sure we had a great meal. The ambiance is okay, nothing too special, but then again we were in a hotel. All in all we were glad to have taken advantage of their weekend special. It was a great value and we left with the feeling that we would definitely come back when in the neighborhood.

Indigo Burger
5743 Stevenson Blvd, NewarkThe loaded fries were so good! If you're not into spicy, be warned! Even without the jalapeƱos, it was still very spicy! I also got the Indigo Burger with impossible patty and added avocado. Avocado was $2 extra for only like 2 or 3 slices tho it was nice and ripe. We sat outside and it was fairly quiet in the shopping complex so that was nice.

Newbark Dog Park
35501 Cedar Blvd, NewarkIt's a nice park, but some pet owners "Don't" clean up after their pet and there are a lot of people who leave their dogs off leash .. They disrespect their city park rules.
