Vision Care For Animals
4073 El Camino Real, Palo AltoOnly good things to say. Our dog went through glaucoma over the course of 1.5 years, and the entire time everyone at Vision Care for Animals was great. They were responsive, made sure we had appointments, and fit us in promptly for surgery and emergencies.

Animal Hospital of Palo Alto
4111 El Camino Real, Palo AltoDr. Lawrence was very kind to me and my senior cat, Coco. Coco had declined rapidly in the last few weeks, not eating and then not drinking water. Dr. Lawrence gave me bad news that Coco was suffering from terminal kidney disease. There was no hope. I used a mobile Vet to euthanize her at home.

Wildseed
855 El Camino Real Building 4, Palo AltoI've only had Wildseed catered, so can't speak to its service or ambiance. But the food is DELICIOUS. I try to stay away from vegetarian food as I usually find it bland, but the burgers here tasted no different from burgers with juicy, flavorful meat.

Cafe Pro Bono
2437 Birch St, Palo AltoWe are regulars at this Italian restaurant off California Avenue because it never disappoints. We love the welcoming atmosphere, and the tables are set far enough apart so that we can have a real conversation with our friends. We enjoyed a special sole [a huge piece of beautifully cooked fish] on black risotto [a special] and a duck confit with mushroom risotto, another special. One of our guests ordered the veal marsala from the regular menu. We shared an appetizer and our friends shared a salad - the kitchen split the dishes for us and they were presented beautifully. We asked for a wine recommendation and the manager suggested a local Pinot, Lloyd, that went beautifully with all our dishes. We didn't want dessert, but were surprised by complimentary limoncello. One can't count on that, but what a nice way to end a beautiful dinner. This quality is not cheap of course, but the experience is pleasant and the meals are well priced for what one gets. Highly recommend!

State of Mind Slice House
3850 El Camino Real, Palo AltoThis place is one of my favorites. They have wonderful, delicious and unique pizza flavors here. I love how you have so much variety here from the pizza crust, toppings, garlic knotts, salads and beverages.Thin crust pizza - texture (dough) is PERFECT ?? along with their toppings, they definitely aren't your ordinary pizza place. Every bite makes your whole mouth water up, explode with flavors and super satisfying. I also really enjoy their double crust pizza (rectangle slices). I love the crunch on the double dough, it has a little bite/crunch to it and the toppings are so wonderful as well.Garlic knotts are very tasty after they are popped into the toaster over for a few minutes then showered in garlic aioli, these knotts pair well with any of their salads. ?Come here for an experience you won't regret ?.

Protégé
250 California Ave, Palo AltoMy second Michelin star experience was at Protege. Located in downtown Palo Alto, parking can be a bit challenging and the restaurant was a bit unassuming on the outside. The dress attire seemed a bit more on the casual side, and I saw a variety of attire from jeans to more business casual looks. As expected from a restaurant of this tier, service was good and the food was unique. Even though I normally don't eat seafood, one of my favorite dishes was the Sakura-Smoked Sablefish. The caviar balanced the smoky sablefish well, and textures of the dish were amazing. The Wolfe Ranch Quail was tender and cooked perfectly, which was also another favorite. Toward the end of the meal, they wheeled over a cheese cart and allowed us to select 2-3 cheeses for tasting. The meal ended with a Peanut Butter "Bombe," which surprisingly was the least spectacular part of the meal. I found the "bombe" shell to be quite thick and a bit hard to break and eat, but the dessert was delicious nevertheless. They also gave us a pastry to take home and savor for the next day, and I couldn't help but remember the delicious meal I had as I was munching on it. A well-deserved Michelin star!

Tong Sui Desserts & Drinks (Palo Alto)
540 Bryant St, Palo AltoThis is a really spacious location compared to other locations they have in the area. Many tables for seating! A few people were waiting for their drinks and socializing. Cozy little spot. This is conveneient across from Ramen Nagi and Son & Garden as well.I recommend the Mango Mochi Coconut Pudding and the Jasmine Coconut Pudding! These are my favorites, but definitely get pricey. For drinks, my go-to is the Da Hong Pao (DHP) Latte with Jelly! Very fragrant tea, but still creamy from the milk. A well balanced milk tea.
