The Abroms-Engel Institute for the Visual Arts (AEIVA) is a visual arts center on the University of Alabama at Birmingham campus. It is a beautiful institute and a nice alternative gallery, free to the public. It presents 8-10 exhibits a year, highlighting a mix of regionally, nationally, and internationally acclaimed artists focused on contemporary art. The modern and experimental exhibits are wonderful, thought-provoking, and intriguing. The gallery rooms are connected, with an enjoyable ambience. It hosts many wonderful events throughout the year and is a current must-see in the heart of Birmingham.
Possibly the best place in Birmingham, and maybe the state, to see new and exciting art exhibitions regularly. AEIVA consistently delivery high quality shows and programming. Staff are friendly and the materials and events are accessible. I am always suggesting this special place to friends and strangers!

Beautiful institute Birmingham is blessed to have. Free to the public, they have many wonderful events throughout the year.

Beautiful venue. Can't say that I really enjoyed the exhibit, but maybe I just didn't appreciate that art.
