I really enjoyed this place. It has a lot of old furniture and details of every room typed out on a piece of paper of what each piece of furniture was used for and made of. It is kept up very well everything is taken care of. It's was a trip I will recommend to my friends and extended family. The ladies that work their are very polite and make you feel welcomed. I pray the Lord blesses them tremendously. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time today enjoying the beautiful grounds, complete with a vegetable garden! The trees and flowers were Beautiful!! The house was just amazing! The tour had a video to watch and a gift shop before we took the tour. It was a 5 out of Five star!! Lastly, the staff was top notch and so friendly and interactive!! We loved it and would go again and take friends for a fun day exploring our history!

Ironically, we showed up on a day they were closed for an offsite event. However, one of the caretakers opened up everything and allowed us to take a self guided tour. We really enjoyed the experience, and we had the entire place to ourselves. I am very grateful to the gentlemen for opening everything and giving us insightful information about the site.

Beautiful home full of historical artifacts. The grounds are well kept and it's a gem to see. Maddie or Mattie was a delight to talk with for a while, she is a volunteer and is a beautiful soul. If you visit be sure to stop and have a chat with her.

Loved our visit to Arlington House. We visited on the day they had everything decorated for Christmas. The house is beautiful and was made even more beautiful by the decorations. The pieces of furniture and all of the antiques were very cool. The guides who were there to answer our questions knew so much about the house and the different rooms in the house. The grounds are really nice and have the most beautiful magnolia trees I have ever seen. Would love to come back when they are blooming. In the office, there is a video to watch that gives you the history of the house. There is a small gift shop of the office as well. The staff here were beyond fabulous. So kind and enthusiastic about the house. In particular, Toby, was a joy and you can tell she loves her job.

First time here for the luncheon put on by Mrs. Shelia Tyson for A&M and State game classic weekend. The atmosphere was charged, the host was gracious, the food was delicious with DJ bad Butch was popping. I had a great time. Will recommend this facility to family and friends

Great experience touring Arlington House. The furnishings are very opulent and give a good idea of what life was like back then. The guides and staff were very friendly and helpful.

I had such a fantastic time exploring Arlington Antebellum Home and Garden! It’s definitely not the largest or most extravagant estate I’ve been to, but it’s worth seeing if you’re planning a trip to Birmingham or live there. All the staff I interacted with were phenomenal, and I had such a great time talking to a volunteer gardener when I visited.Overall, nine out of ten because the location is really bad. It’s in a run down neighborhood, and I didn’t feel super safe once I left the gates.Note:-You’ll spend about an hour here including the 20 minute video.-Tickets are $5 for an adult and $3 for students.-If you collect postcards they have some for sale that aren’t on display.

Made the trip to visit and found it completely closed. No notices on their Google posted hours, and nothing in the hours on their website. Only after scouring their entire website did I find one note as to work being done, HOWEVER their web post also said that the grounds were open for touring...BUT we found the gates locked all day!!!! WILL NOT TRY TO REVISIT.(learn how to update your web info for visitors)

A beautiful and historic home that predates Birmingham. You start off with a 13 min. video that talks about the various owners, structural changes, and history of the home. It's a self guided tour. The home is filled to the brim with period accurate furnishings, musical instruments, clothing, and brick-a-brac. The separate kitchen and grounds were also great. The staff working on 6/22 were so kind and welcoming!!!

Beautiful. Mentioned the contributionds of African American enslaved people including the highly skilled crafts people. Talk to your kids be fore you go and after. The history isn't pretty but the place is a fascinating gem.
