I have been a member of Avadian Credit Union for a long time. Recently I had a very bad experience that I hope never happens to anyone anywhere. I was yelled at and publicly humiliated by a customer service rep/teller named Amanda who refused to assist me while I waited but instead directed me to go stand in another line while she continued to engage in a long conversation about her personal business with another member. As I was leaving, I mentioned to her that I did not feel it was right for her to put off helping customers while she discussed personal matters and instead of appologizing for her total lack of customer care, Amanda became irate and yelled at me to leave the credit union in front of all the other customers. I was shocked, humiliated, and ashamed to say the least for being treated so rudely and unprofessionally. There has not been a manager at the Colonnade branch where this ocurred for over a year so I notified the corporate office and they simply moved her down the road to the Greystone Branch. Don't believe Avadian's TV commercials about going the extra mile for customers as clearly that is not true. Most importantly, beware of Amanda when visiting the Greystone or any other branch where they may send her because instead of assisting you, she may just yell and throw you out of a business she does not own as well!! Save yourself the humiliation and lack of concern and just like me, take you business elsewhere where you are treated with respect.

I intentionally met someone for a Marketplace purchase here to use them as a service center. This CU is not a service center. I was informed they have not been a service center in over two years.Cost me $3.45 to use their ATM.

Vigile was rude and not helpful at. Was defensive on every question. I asked Angela not do business with him again.

I think they're ok. Just nerve racking that I have to keep my receipts for ATM reimbursement fees. If I can see it on my statement, what's the problem?

Horrible customer service, it takes forever to get in and out of the Colonnade location. The only reason I keep an account open is for the Centsible Savings, if not for this product I would give ACU a zero star rating.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. Please put your money someplace else. I have had an account here for a decade at least, and after almost closing it because of some dicey fine print, and a disagreement over when charges went through and when deposits went in, I only kept it open after a manager called to "work things out with me." Which ONLY happened after I left a negative Yelp review. They removed the fees, I took down the post, and the account was left open. I live in different state now and have a Regions account which I have never had trouble with, and despite being a "big bank" the people there have always been incredibly friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to make me happy. Not so with Avadian. After leaving the account open, an old online account ran charges that should have been attached to a different account. When I called to explain, I was basically scolded by the bank employee, and now they want over a hundred dollars in fees, or they will report negatively on my credit. All this after assuring me that overdraft charges would never be applied to my account again. I understand a bank is a business, and I understand that user error exist, but these people aren't who they claim to be. This is not some small town "we are here" for our customers type of place. They would rather make a couple bucks in fees, and be duplicitous about the fine print, than serve you. Again, I have had a couple accounts here for more than a decade, and even got a car loan through them. They are only interested in making money off you. Run fast. Run far.

I got great customer service here. Avandian is a shared branch of my home Credit Union and it was wonderful to be able to handle my financial business while away from home.

I had a phenomenal experience at Avadian. After attempting to open a home equity line with Wells Fargo - my bank and mortgage holder, I decided to see what Avadian could do for me. Even though I'm a customer in excellent standing, Wells Fargo treated me like I was trying to steal from them by boworring against the equity I've built in my own home! Avadian truly did treat me like family. Avadian made the process smooth and easy, and had my line open and ready to use in a week, while Wells Fargo was still quoting me a 75+ day timeline and demanding multiple forms of written documentation about why I wanted this line, my employment, and reasons for recently opening a business line with them as well. Karen and Elena at the Colonnade branch were exceptional in moving this process along swiftly and explaining every step of the process. We set up everything in the office in an afternoon, including my online banking portal. I've already (easily) made my first payment against what I borrowed. I cannot thank Avadian enough for their wonderful service and for these two five-star employees. Avadian has earned my business and my trust.

Avadian Credit Union offered mixed communication in their fee waiver for a courtesy need. I had to place a stop payment on a payment to my Visa Credit Card, called the credit union and warned I had to do so several days in advance trying to protect my account for a check that had been out in mail for weeks. I asked in advance was there a consideration for waiving any fees they normally impose on a returned check if it showed up on my statement. I was told they do often do that courtesy, but for me to call back when and if such fee processed on my Avadian Visa. The representative that I called today said no waiver was available, and even went on to explain Avadian was charged this fee from my other institution. I am in banking operations myself, and I know that to be false information. Embarrassingly mishandled by Avadian and a fee I feel needs to be monitored for consistency with the CFPB. I was handled incorrectly and tried to protect my account on a lost check in transit. The explanation of the fee being third party with no recourse for customer care or waiver is unfair, deceptive in communication verbally, and a reputable opinion I plan to share with others to avoid feeling confident in this credit union's communication to you in times of concern and willingness to just "take care of the customer." I was such an advocate for this credit union with limited abilities in technology that created this since they could not accept an electronic payment from another institution to begin with causing a need to "old school" mail in a check payment. Very disappointed and unfairly treated with mixed messages on my attempt to protect my account from a lost check, proactively working with my credit union. A fee is a fee in their eyes. The customer's situation did not matter, no matter how attentively explained ahead of the event itself.
