Worst bank in birmingham. Everytime i go in this bank there is some issue ; ATM out of cash , not enough cash on a friday to cash a check , putting a hold on a deposit from a check that I have been regularly depositing for five years . I'm trying to run a business.
They don't mind taking your money but God forbid you try to get some of your money back . Do yourself a favor and go to America's first credit union cause this bank sucks

The clerk Michael was professional and helpful in resolving my issues. I was a victim of fraudulent charges. Recommend him and the bank.

If I could give a zero I would. The branch manager and those under her at the Cahaba Heights PNC are incompetent and lazy. I have been unable to see or access one of my accounts since PNC was taken over by BBVA, and no one at PNC seems to have a clue what to do about it, nor do they see to care. And good luck getting anyone on the phone. I do not recommend this bank. Do your self a favor and find a local bank where they actually are proactive and care.

If I had to pick a single financial services professional to work with in the whole industry, it would be Brittany at this BBVA branch. She really is that good.

After almost decade of my business, with credit card used up 6k and paid in full several times, not even ONE late payment. I paid off what I thought was last balance and never looked back.all online. But I miscalculated by 7 dollars. Received 25 dollars in late fees, I reported to credit bureau and lowered my card to 500 , Asked for review with my history etc, BBVA declined to fix my credit or my 5500 balance deduction. HORRIBLE PEOPLE

Consistently the best branch in the Birmingham metro area. I live about half an hour from here, but work in Cahaba Heights; I almost always put my banking off until work days so that I can do it here rather than the meh branch near my house.

I opened a one-year CD with them. When it matured, and I requested the proceeds, they made me jump through a hoop a dozen times, requiring repeated written requests, notarized letters (!), etc., etc. Every agent I spoke with posed more and more requests for me to comply with. Ten days after maturity I still do not have my money.

BBVA Compass is the absolutely worst credit card/banking company I've seen in 45-years of banking. Their customer service is terrible. They block your password without your knowledge and then you get locked out of your account. Few of their customer service people even speak english and they are very hard to understand. I am currently on their lure of 0% for a year until April, 2020, but I will be paying off my account and cancelling my credit card with them. It's ironic that I just had a call from them a few days ago and told the lady, who also didn't speak english very well, that their company was the worst. Don't know for sure but I think she had something to do with my account being blocked due to bad password. Finished with them, even at 0%!

Everyone that works here is very nice and professional but they do need more tellers during peak times. I've never seen more than 2 working at a time, which means one has to focus mostly on the drive thru and the other is dealing with walk ins. Overall though I am happy banking here.

What horrible customer service! I opened a checking/savings account there and was told I would receive my debit card in 3-5 days. It has now been 8 days and I still do not have my debit card. It is Saturday and I called their customer service line. I was on hold 23 minutes when it finally rang through. Before it could be answered, my call was disconnected. I called back and was on hold 25 more minutes. When I finally spoke with a foreigner, I explained the menu I went through at the start of the call stated my "pin" was wrong and I wanted it corrected to the number I put in twice at the branch where I opened the account. He stated they could only give me a new pin. He then said he would have to transfer me to someone else regarding my debit card. You guessed it, when he attempted to do that, I was immediately disconnected! Don't make the mistake I did of opening an account at this bank. I did initial research and they had appeared highly rated among the banks in Birmingham. If this is highly rated, I would hate to see a bank with poor service!
