Super accessible and pretty spot right off of 280. However, it did have a slightly shady vibe to it and it seems there is something about the place that attracts folks for the wrong reasons. Sensed it was probably a meet up spot for less than above board activities. Go for the views, not the company.

I went here to fish today as it offers Cahaba access. Something is off with some of the people hanging out in their vehicles in the parking lot. Something is going on and I don’t think it’s good. There were half a dozen vehicles there, but nobody down at the water fishing except myself. Some people just sat in their trucks/cars the whole time. I came back to the parking lot and another car pulled in right next to me but the guy just sat in his Jeep and didin’t move. I wonder if this place is used for people to hook up, sell/buy prohibited items or who knows. I wish for police presence and do not recommend going alone, and if so, ensure you are safe.Let me reiterate, nothing happened but my spider senses were tingling all over.

Relaxing waterfall and nice trails by the river. Definitely a gem.

Me and my wife were down in Alabama for a job interview. The job interview didn't pan out as we were hoping but it wasn't a completely wasted trip we found this little donut shop when were coming through Birmingham and we found this little donut shop up the road and got our donuts to go and back into this little park it really isn't much of a park but there were walking trails and it overlooked the river and if you walked just a little way you could look down over the river and see the water fall. It made a nice little getaway the water was louder than the traffic and it was almost like you had left the city for a few minutes.
