The Homewood location is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gym is clean and is exactly want it needs to be.Big warning for when trying to cancel membership. You have to jump through so many hoops. Unnecessarily difficult.How to cancel1) call customer care on the club 4 app.2) press zero to talk to a real person.3) they will send you a link to your email to fill out to cancel- you’ll probably have to register on the link.4) follow the directions in the email to cancel.

Dont waste your money! I spent one day in this gym, only half of my regular daily routine. I mean, I guess some people like the completely bland environment. The employees all talk to you condescendingly. It's not welcoming, and it's not a place to go if you have confidence issues. Their contract agreement is also ment for you to not read it because if you did, you would not sign up. It's a waste of money, It's a waste of time, It's a waste a business space that could otherwise be taking up that slot.

I think it says enough about the company that the manager fills it necessary to apologize for almost all of the comments posted. I can identify with almost every poorly rated review that this he has. Do not join this gym

Some of the staff can be a bit rude. I’ve called about an issue with my account for the past 3 days just to see if there has been any updates and they still haven’t resolved it. I wouldn’t recommend this location. Hoover is better.

I wish there is a minus star for this place from workers to management they are Crooks they lie to you they follow you in then you end up paying the price for something you didn't sign up for or ask for so be careful peopleIt's pretty much a place where you get robbed especially with a third party I called every number they gave me especially the management at this location and I cannot get nowhere they just want to give my money no matter what

Club4 Fitness is a fine place. ABC Fitness, their 3rd party billing service, will drive you crazy. Before joining, do a quick Google search and read ABC Fitness reviews.

I have been a member of this gym for six months and have had a really positive experience! I’ve been training with Nik and although I never thought I’d hire a personal trainer, I’m living proof that it was a smart decision. My sleep and anxiety have improved; even my torn meniscus has improved! I’ve also lost weight and gained muscle. Nik is very knowledgeable and always has answers to my questions, and I’ve had many. He’s personable and is very motivating. He never pushes too much but seems to find the right balance, which helps me progress. I feel better than I’ve felt in a long time! The staff is friendly and the gym is clean. It’s been a great experience! I’ll be continuing my training at least another six months.

I’ve unfortunately found this location to be a bit of a mixed bag. The staff is friendly but there is a severe lack of equipment in comparison to the number of members that workout here. Even in non peak times I’ve had to wait on equipment for extended periods of time. The most frustrating part is how difficult the cancellation process is. I was told upon sign up that I would need to come to my home location in person to cancel. I recently moved and had to carve out time to drive to this location to cancel only to be told that the cancellation process has now changed. A staff member informed me that I should see my member number on my app for cancellation but it was nowhere to be found even with their assistance. They were able to look it up manually and informed me I would have to call the support number and cancel over the phone. The support number then directs you to email their customer service to cancel. It just seems like the system is designed to make cancellation as difficult as possible. I would be hesitant to rejoin for this reason alone.

I never worked out there because they were going to charge me $15 for a workout. I was in town for a couple days .I'll be in Birmingham once a year but won't give them any business

We have been members for two years. When we first joined the gym was clean and the staff was friendly. After the original staff was dismissed for what reason do not know; they have struggled with staff issues. Their turnover is the fastest I've ever seen. The gym equipment is rarely cleaned, the men's restroom is always unkept and two of the urinals do not flush. Their music is so loud that its hard to carry on a conversation, plus their choice of music is vulgar and offensive. Probably because of their low membership price the gym is overcrowded with wild teens that never pick up any of their weights, they also sit on all the equipment texting. However, my #! Complaint was when I was approached by the manager Tyler in front of all members of the gym and said someone had a problem with me, but he could not tell me who or what they said. I asked him if I didn't know who it was then how could I possibly know who to avoid. I have many friends at Club4Fitness of all ages and races. I have been working out at gyms for twenty-five years plus and have made lifelong friends. Since Tyler could present no evidence for what was said, I am left to believe that he concluded without evidence. I will my friends but after this my wife and I will be leaving. I did try to contact District Manager, but I have been unable to reach anyone. The manager did have a conversation with your husband but it was in private and it was mentioned that it was a possible misunderstanding that was being brought to his attention, and the conversation ended peacefully with a handshake. The previous manager for this location responded to your text message and offered to have our Regional Manager contact you today, but the offer was declined. All of what your replied was UNTRUE or just simply a LIE. No, I tried all day Friday to reach a manager and yes, I did text Mary Ashleigh and she offered to have Corey to contact me, but I know that he will only reply with more of the same. I have spoken with Corey in past complaints, and he usually disregards me. I wanted to speak with Paul Wagner who I have spoken with on many occasions who knows Joe's character. My husband and were charter members. I personally helped with a baby shower for one of your employees, I brought doughnuts for Christmas. My husband loaned his eight-foot ladder to Club4fitness for six months. He walked many subdivisions of Hoover promoting your gym. My basic complaint is how Joe was approached in open gym environment when it should have been handled in an office. So, on the words of one person, Tyler said Joe was not allowed to know what was said about him or who said it. There was absolutely no merit to the complaint. Tyler also stated Joe should only speak to members he correctly knows. Your gym name implies club. If you would have bothered to visit the gym and ask about myself or my husband you would see what type of man, he his. Many, many members would vouch to the reliability, integrity, and friendliness, his character which is impeccable. Joe and I have both been members of gyms for over twenty years and not cone complaint, but he has made lifelong friends. Joe is just simply a nice person! The person is question should not be Joe but the person that accused him. We were told this person preferred to stay anonymous, why is this? Because they knew they told an untruth. honestly a nice gym but after going to the hoover location it makes me look at it completely different. Scott is extremely rude and doesn’t greet anybody but “certain” guest. Honestly if you want a good experience, go to hoover or somewhere else.
