I called medical records to get some very important information. I was told to speak to the records department, and they could help. I was transferred there, and this lady answered. I won't say her name yet, but she offered no help. I needed to know some information of my brother's birth. She asked me the year and immediately said we don't have those records from the 70s. I said OK mam do you know where I could possibly find them or start? her answer was " I don't know". well mam is there anyone there that may know or would know what happens to birth records? Here answer " we purge them" so there is no way of ever getting them. Wow. just crushed any hope of what I'm needing. People these days offer no help while sitting in these positions until its them that need the help! It may not be possible, but she didn't even try to sound like she cared, nor did she even look to see what or where. Customer service these days is awful!!

Most of the doctors are decent enough considering it’s a charity service. My therapist is great and the ladies on the sixth floor that check me in are all very nice and friendly. So are the nurses that do my intake. However the people that answer the phone are rude beyond belief and half the time they’ll hang up on you. However my biggest gripe is the male security guard that works outside. He is a straight up bully, he is extremely rude and mean-spirited. The way he looks at me is full of pure hatred. He looks like he wants to murder me..he is downright TERRIFYING. Most of the other security guards are pretty pleasant and polite when they tell you to park somewhere else but he is just awful. This is the third horrible experience I’ve had with him and I wasn’t even trying to park in front of the building, my mom was just dropping me off. Yet he still gave us a hard time and he was so rude, arrogant, and condescending he made me burst out crying. The way he looks at you reminds me of a serial killer! What an awful human being you have working at a medical facility of all places.

I have been trying to get my dr to call in my insulin for two weeks. Thats a life saving medication and they can't be bothered to do their job. Thank God I have insurance so I can get a new dr! I just feel sorry for those who are dependent on the drs at Cooper Green its awful.

Mrs Culpepper is a very disgusting person with a very nasty attitude. My experience with her was horrible, that I had to walk out mid conversation because she refused to help me see a doctor..

Terry who answers the phone on the appointment line has a VERY NASTY attitude. I called to get the day of my appointment she gets smart with me and hung up in my face I called back again she hung in my face again when I asked her to transfer me to the dental clinic. If she didn’t want to be at work today she should’ve just took a a mental health day. I called back hot Darrel I the phone and he was so helpful he informed me that they don’t transfer to the dental office anymore but provide me with the number with was all Terry had to do instead of getting an attitude and hanging up in my face. She’s VERY unprofessional. She may need to shadow Darrel in how to have proper customer service skills because he’s very nice and helpful. He’s usually the one that answers when u call.

I have been going to Cooper for about 20 yrs and now that UAB has taken over it's a hot mess. The doctor I had misdiagnosed me about my shoulder went to another doctor and found out I had a torn rotator cup. And this same doctor prescribe me a blood pressure medicine and made me very sick. When I told her about it her response was she didn't prescribe it. The Patient Advocate, R. Durant won't return calls and they are refusing me a doctor. They better watch how they treat patients because God sit high and he can see everything. The job you have today it can be taken away in a blink of an eye.

Beginning to feel like they aren't concerned about the patients health it's been over a week and they won't phone in my medicine to pharmacy. Not my fault doctors are living but they send out letters stating when you get new doctors you still get your medication they tell you they will call you and don't

Impossible to call. Line disconnected for no reason. Signed release of information that they did not bother to process.
