I shop here all the time and haven't had many issues but yesterday I went in to get balloons for son. I got the large numbers, $5 each, and a smaller one. I could tell the cashier was not amused by the expression on her face. She pulled the balloons and then saw that two of the balloons I chose were already blown up, which is fine. However one of the number balloons had a ribbon that was ripped and I felt that it was very insecure. I asked if she would put another ribbon on it and she said no and that they did not keep other ribbon since they came with ribbons. I explained to her that it could easily break and the balloon would fly away in the wind and she said that I could go buy some ribbon and put it on there. I explained again and she argued with me. I paid for my things and went and found the manager and told her. The manager walked right over to the balloons, pulled out ribbon and replaced it for me. Took her less than a minute. The cashier outright lied to me! Would not even help! She needs to go! Manager apologized and I left. Dollar Tree, talk to your employee!

There are several Dollar Tree stores in Birmingham. I stopped in to one that is located in a lower income area. The store was unkempt and the merchandise strewn in disarray.

I came to return some items with my original receipt and to purchase an item. The associate told me that I had to make an even exchange, i.e. if I had 6 items then I must also purchase 6 items. I told him that didnt make sense. Then I said okay I no longer want to purchase the item, I only want to return my items. He told me that I still could not return the items and that it must be an exchange. I asked him was that the store policy and he said yes. I left frustrated because I knew that it wasnt true. If so, they would need to have signs around the store and at the register that all sales are final and that there are no refunds, only exchanges. This policy would also need to be printed on the back of the receipt. I went to another Dollar Tree and returned my items. I told them what happened and they told me that the other store should have been able to make the return. Im not sure if the previous associate just didnt know how to do a return and just lied about the policy but nevertheless, Dollar Tree needs to train their employees on the register about their return policies.

Selection is limited and shelves were empty. Given the location this store should WOW people but it did nothing.

First time coming to this Dollar Tree. It was a good experience up until I paid and selected cash back. The older man working the register looked up annoyed and said "I wish you'd asked" and turned to go get the money from the office. I apologized and he didn't say anything back and even ignored my kids saying bye to him. If you don't want people requesting cash back then maybe don't have an option for it. Or do like other places and put a note saying no cash back available.

Tasha needs more training. After waiting in line & seeing another line that just became empty I went to Tasha's lane to check out. She tells me she's closed. Returning to my original lane, there are now 2 more people in front of me. Once it's my turn to checkout, Tasha reopens her lane for the person BEHIND me. Teaching common courtesy is a 5 minute meeting, Dollar Tree. And poor Eddie (the one that did check me out had her earphones in watching TV on his phone and was literally the slowest. Bless it

To be honest, I wasn't aware of a new Dollar Tree store up in the Pinnacle. For a store that just opened, I was expecting it to be well stocked with merchandise as far as the candy section goes. Not much of a different than the other Dollar Tree stores across town. Maybe after awhile they'll have things stock up soon. Customer service was good so no complaints in that department.
