My husband was sent there for rehab for his hip. He supposed to stay 14 days . I stayed with him 4 days and then came home to check on my animals and shower and then go right back and stay with him 4 more days . The Social worker try to get him approved to stay some more days .But his insurance said no, so in 2 days he was supposed to come home .A nurse came in and decided that he was running a fever and told the doctor . The doctor did a C19 test and then said he had C19 and order me to leave the property. My husband said no. The doctor told my husband your not going anywhere, and my husband told the doctor, you want to make a bet on that !!! As we were getting everything together to leave , and was waiting on a wheelchair. They started to come in to make him do a little therapy .He just wanted to leave. On the way out as we walked by the nurses station, we heard a male nurse /therapist said , thats how you do it,get rid of them . I took my husband to the family doctor and they tested him for C19 and he didn't have it . I got tested as well ,I didn't have it neither. I found out later ,that was the way they were going to try and get more insurance by him staying longer. His insurance company called me and asked me about how he was treated. And I let them no . Very badly. I also turned it in about how some elderly patients was actually laying in their on waste and not being taking care of. I talked to a couple of nurses there and was told how the patients was being treated very badly. I was walking down the hallway on one of the days that i was there and walked by a room and a patient had no clothes on at all with the door open, he was begging for help and I witnessed a nurse telling him to shut the hell up .I would not even let my dogs go there. That how bad this place is. People you need to wake up and watch over your love ones. I found out later, the doctor there had my husband on medication that actually damages your lungs. He didn't really need to be on .My husband already has lung damage. This would have made things worse for him .His lung doctor caught it and said that was a big no no on this medication. So please keep a watch on your love one there. This place mistreats their patients.!!!!

My mom was just there for a couple of days and it was the most horrible experience. She would ask for help to get to the bathroom an nobody would ever come to where she would have to go on herself....she would ask for something else to eat an it would take them hours to get her something else...they would tell her they was busy and had more important to help...I understand I am a CNA ...that is no way to treat a person!!! Please do not take your family members there most horrible rude staff

I was very nervous about my 91 year old father staying here after reading the reviews. They seemed to be a mix bag. I’m so happy to report that I can highly recommend this facility. The staff was so nice. I had excepted communication from the therapists, pharmacist and nurses. He was well cared for. He even had a bed sore when he got there that was healed by the time he came home. The patient care coordinator was easy to reach and work with. The facility was very clean. I have zero complaints and would recommend this place to anyone considering. I was not crazy about visiting hours being limited to 4-8pm. The traffic is really bad at this time of day. Other than those restrictions it was a much better stay than I could have anticipated.

I was so concerned about my 91 year old father going here for rehab after a stay at Grandview and reading the reviews. I was so pleased with his stay here. The staff was awesome. Everything was super clean. The communication was more than I could have hoped for. I received calls from the therapists, pharmacists and nurses. He even had a bedsore when he arrived and it was healed when he came home. He was pleased with the care. Medicine was dispensed on time and correctly. He had the assistance he needed even when he was reluctant to participate or cooperate. His only complaint was he wasn't crazy about the food but he had just gotten over Covid and not many things tasted good, not even what I brought him. I am so happy to write this review and recommend Lakeshore Encompass. I hope this alleviates someone's fears besides my own.

This is a nice rehab facility for the most part. The main issues I had when I stayed here were the inattentive night shift nurses. I needed urinals emptied due to being on water pill a few times and was made to feel bad when I had a messy accident by one of the nurses who was tasked with cleaning me up to the point where I was literally in tears. The positives were the day shift crew and therapists. They worked with me on a whole lot of different things and ensured I would be prepared for discharge when the time came.

Medical staff are wonderful! Polite, informative, and friendly. The cafeteria, however, are annoying. Getting a hot drink, any meal, is impossible. Getting a knife sharp enough to cut anything is not possible. And generally, getting OTC meds/equipment (heating pads, ice, Tylenol, etc.)is harder than getting a Norco.

This place is horrible! Don’t ever let a loved one go there. Bad nurses, can’t get in touch with anyone concerning what’s going on. Always have to leave a message & nobody returns your call. They should be reported or shut down.

My 95 year old grandmother was taken to Encompass after falling and they did a great job! She didn't know how to use the phones in the rooms so the nurses had no problem letting her use their cell phones to call us and update us. Thank you Encompass!

Returned from panana city beach after a traumatuc accident was not admoitted sent hone for 3 months tgen when finally admitted was turned out after 10 days - Mrdicare said since I’d been home 3 month i must be fine they did a few weeks of outpatient pt before stopping due to Medicare rules - they care anout mobey not helping patients rehab mean while i was in a wheelchair unable to out weight on my leg for 3 months or move around in. My home - Lakeshore Foundation got me in the water and out of a chair and I feel Encompass should separate themselves from Encompass as not to bring diwn tge ratings og THEIR goid works

Staff were professional at all times . One thing I appreciated was that each time I used the equipment, the staff made sure to wipe it down and made sure that I saw that. One thing that I learned if they don't respond to the nurse call button, throw a leg over the bed rail. That'll activate the alarm and the staff will come running. Don't overdo that. Last resort.
