I expected to receive my package on Monday and today is Friday and there are not updates just changed the status to PENDING. I called FEDEX but they said I need to wait until the investigation let them know where is my package. It’s so frustrated! Probably or they are so lazy or they stole my package. I don’t recommend FEDEX AT BIRMIMGHAM AL.

Every single time I order an express delivery package through FedEx, it NEVER arrives on time. The sole reason for that is the Birmingham Sort Facility. It never fails. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. It gets stuck at this facility for days with no type of movement. Please, for all love that is Holy, shut this facility down. They’re barely working anyway and my packages are proof of this.

Clerk was incredibly rude! I restrained myself but her hateful tone & manner never improved during the whole ordeal - she talked over me (more like rudely yelled/barked at me) & I had to ask her TWICE to email me the tracking so I could forward it to my Japanese company like I usually do. I am looking for a shipping location and absolutely dreading that I’ll be forced to return because I don’t feel as patient as I was that day… that lady must really hate her job, I feel sorry for the people forced to work with someone like that…

They left my friends package in the middle of the yard. My friend is an amputee and has no way to get it. There was instructions on where to leave it on his porch so he could get it. Thats just pure laziness.

Everything I order that comes Fed Ex, gets delayed at this facility, sometimes by weeks. The latest being a must have tool, shipped 2 day express, supposed to be here 4/1, if I'm very lucky I'll see it 4/4.

I spent $800 dollars for my girlfriends birthday and they lost my package. I am an 18 year old and college and spent all winter break working to buy this gift to make this year special for her. I ordered my package in December and it is now March and still no package. Very disappointed and angry.

Know that they load packages then drive around all day without delivering them, then repeat. I am experiencing that now my package has been out for delivery for 2 days from b'ham. Need drivers that will do there jobs, or let people who don't have perfect driving records work.

FedEx is the absolute worst in their industry! Constantly loosing packages. Tracking info says it was delivered when it wasn't. Driver dumping hundreds of packages into ravines in Blount County Alabama. Terrible company!!!I'm going to stop shopping at retailers who ship via FedEx. Do yourself a favor and avoid this carrier if at all possible.

Four out of my last 5 FedEx deliveries have been delayed. Two were seafood overnight deliveries that they held through the weekend. They refused to let me pick up the deliveries, so the seafood was bad by the time that it was delivered. A third overnight seafood delivery was delayed for an extra day, but I expected a delay and ordered it after the weather was cold and ordered it for delivery on a Thursday, so the delay didn't make the food go bad although it did mess up my plans. The last delivery was misrouted and is currently 3 days late with no set day for delivery. They don't honor their promised delivery times, they are rude when you call them, and they really don't seem to care about anything.

I would give zero stars if possible. Last year an expensive phone was stolen by a fedex driver or employee by slitting the side of the box then delivering the empty box. Another time, a fedex driver ran over a path light in our driveway smashing it to bits; I opened a case and, after numerous phone calls and emails, I finally realized no one from fedex was ever going to make it right. Currently a grocery package has been "weather delayed" for over a week without updates from fedex. This is the worst shipping company ever, at least the fedex in Birmingham, AL.

FedEx used to be the benchmark for shipping. In the last several years, their dependability has slipped considerably. What is worse are the excuses for their mistakes. Just apologize, make amends somehow, and move on. Their solutions for lost and late packages are non-solutions, and their excuses are infuriating. Here are some actual experiences. (1) My wife is informed that she will receive a FedEx with a diamond ring bequeathed to her by her late aunt who had no children. The package was to be signature required. Not only did the package not come to the door to get a signature, it was left at the street, at the base of our mailbox post for anybody to pick up who was curious. (2) Ordered a new coffee maker once mine stopped working. Although I tracked it and it got to our city and on the truck, it never came and was deemed lost. I was informed by FedEx to contact the shipper and report it lost. I had bought the item on sale, and in the meantime, the seller was out of stock. I had to order from another seller, and wound up paying full price. The whole thing cost me time and money. (3) Ordered a home theatre receiver from the manufacturer. Was told it would be to me in two days - required a signature. Followed the tracking. Was put on the truck in my city. I stayed home all day to get it, but it was not delivered and taken back to the shipping center. This happened three days in a row. Because I couldn't stay home all day every day, I finally told them to take it to a local Walgreens (who are great to work with, by the way). Instead of simply delivering it to Walgreens, they sent it back to Georgia, then FINALLY back to Walgreens. Took two weeks to get it. I called FedEx multiple days about this. At first I was understanding, but that wore off after the first two days. Talked to customer service people and to supervisors. A couple of them seemed caring; most simply provided the company excuses. One day, I was told that if I went to the shipping center at 6:30 PM, I could pick up the package. I went there at 6:30 was told that they had put it "on the truck" at 5:30, but that if I would wait in the parking lot, they would find it and bring it to me. At 9:30, a worker (who was very apologetic and the nicest FedEx person with whom I interacted), came to my car and told me that his "sort manager" told him that the shipping center was officially closed and that he couldn't look for it any more. I drove the 30 minutes back to my house. Through all of this, I was assured multiple times that the manager at the shipping center would either call or email me. Do you think I was ever contacted by anyone? Nope. I had to initiate every contact, and though I requested the name and number for the manger at the shipping center, that request was denied. These guys are okay sometimes with things like sneakers. But their reliability, or lack thereof, has gotten to the point that if I order anything online, I ask the seller what shipper they use and ask them NOT to use FedEx. If they insist that they use FedEx, I don't purchase from that seller and find a seller who uses UPS or another shipper.
