This thrift store used to be enjoyable to walk around and occasionally find an item you needed and or wanted but over the last few months it’s been nothing but the same junk sitting on the shelves for close to a year and the newer items are also just junk that’ll end up in a landfill. Recently I was told their volunteers pick over everything that comes in and that makes sense but I feel like the church and the potential customers are the ones losing out bc there’s nothing desirable left after the 8 or so volunteers take home anything worth buying so what’s the point. I really hope they will change this policy or compensate the volunteers a different way.

Appears they receive all the things left over at the end of a yard sales. Sometimes one person's junk is another person's junk

If you haven't been here, you are missing out!! This place is an absolute treat!! The ladies that volunteer here are a blast and a half and have great banter and are always ready to goof and gab with ya!! Great deals and unique finds! I will be returning as often as possible and I recommend you do the same, if not for the company then for the sweet deals!

I love coming here! I especially love that its ran by volunteers , so it's really nice seeing this! They are all so, so friendly and helpful! At 55th place , they are community geared (affiliate of Grace church) and seem to really have a heart for serving others. They are notorious for having $1 clothing as well as fill up a bag for $5! There are tons of books and other nicknack items to look through . You are sure to find something! I highly recommend if you are ever in the Woodlawn area but if not , it's certainly worth the trip! Happy hunting

This is a funky, cozy thrift store primarily backed by Grace Episcopal Church- Woodlawn, and staffed by volunteers. I have found sweaters, blazers, champagne flutes, heirloom Christmas decorations, CDs, books, and shirts here. Definitely worth a visit.
