Mac's One Stop is a small convenience store and gas station in Birmingham's hospital district, known as a surprising spot and a little gem for its terrific food. The morning biscuits, which are fluffy and big, come highly recommended, with options like a steak biscuit with added egg. The lunch menu features excellent burgers, including a bacon cheeseburger and a double bacon cheeseburger, as well as grilled cheese, fries, and onion rings. The food is generally fresh, seasoned appropriately, and comes out fast and hot at fair prices. The kitchen is open, in view, and always very clean. The staff is super friendly and efficient, keeping lines moving. While some note the burger bun could be sturdier, the overall experience is inviting. Most visits are positive, though there has been an occasional issue with fries or onion rings tasting burnt or of old grease. Located within an easy walk for some and a short break for nearby workers, Mac's One Stop is a place many recommend and plan to return to.

Terrific food! Surprising spot. So far I've had a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings. Both were excellent. It's an easy walk from where I live (lucky me) so I'll keep working my way through the menu.

Incredible bacon cheeseburger, fries, and grilled cheese! You definitely do not want to miss this little gem right in the heart of Birmingham.
