We did visit during lunch time, but there were 2 lanes with each lane having 3 cars ahead of us. Took 20 minutes to order, when we it was out turn there was a 6 minute delay (I think they were trying to catch up.) Once we actually ordered food was pretty quick.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. So tired of waiting 20 minutes in line for even the order to be even took when your at the speaker, it’s ridiculous and it’s everyday.

Just tried to go through the drive through and they said “sorry we’re not taking orders right now”When we asked why they said, “we’re short staffed”Not surprised this McDonald’s is always a hot mess

We did a mobile order, waited in the drive thru & at the speaker for over 20 mins till someone finally spoke to us. Got our food started to drive off when I checked the bag, no hashbrowns in bag. My husband went inside to talk to someone about getting them, and that took another 10mins to get someone's attention and get just 2 hashbrowns.I'm usually a patient person. I've worked at McDonald's years ago, I understand short staffed and busy time frames. Just very frustrating considering we placed a mobile order and we just needed to pick it up.

It’s McDonald’s, the attitudes will be bad but the food will be edible. You will almost always get asked to pull up and wait. It’s bad to be asked to wait and you still get food that’s not piping hot.Parking: No one really dine-in anymore, drive thru is always jumping. Sometimes short staffed and they will close a drive thru down.Kid-friendliness: They have a playground area

Went there a couple of months ago. Ordered a sausage, egg, and cheese biscuit at the drive-thru, and the woman at the window told me it was $5.41. I said that the sign at the drive-thru kiosk said it was $3.79. She yelled, "I ain't a lie!" I told her I wasn't calling her a liar maybe she had rung it up wrong. She told me to keep driving and slammed the window shut. Went there today and went inside. Ordered at the kiosk and went to pay at the counter. Stood there for 15 minutes watching them argue with people whose orders were wrong and run back and forth to the food prep area without apparently accomplishing anything. I finally left. This place is a dumpster fire.

Regrettably, I must share my appalling experience at this McDonald's in Irondale. Despite its convenient location on my usual lunch route, the service is a disaster - non-existent customer service, broken payment kiosks, and missing staff. This McDonald’s is a nightmare to visit and completely unsatisfactory.

Used the app to order because I thought it would be quicker. Went inside to pickup order and TWO people at one register were counting the change, no one so much as looked at me, let alone greeted me. Eventually I spoke up and said I had an order to pickup, which i gave my confirmation number. I had to name off every item I ordered, then it looked like they were putting items in a bag, mind you, I ordered 10 minutes ago.Someone else approached me and asked me what I needed, I told her I was picking up an online order, then gave her my confirmation number, to which she said “we don’t have it, you’re going to have to order again” and then she walked away. The first lady then handed me a bag, which I looked through, but was only missing a fry. I should’ve just left and counted my loss, but I paid for it, and had been waiting 15 minutes at this point. I waited for another 7 minutes while no employees came to the front to take care of the line of people that had formed. I saw the middle-aged manager walk by and through the dining room while not looking up from his phone. Eventually I flagged the girl who said they didn’t have my order to get the fry, showing her the receipt, and was given a hot small fry to go with my now cold and stale food.On my way out, I saw the manager outside staring at his phone still. Never again.

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!Do yourself a favor and go across the street to Chick Fil A. This is the worst McDonald’s in Alabama. The customer service is a non existent concept in this store. You get there and have no choice but to order thru a kiosk then the payment machine is not working so it tells you to go to the counter to pay where there are no employees. You stand around awkwardly waiting for someone to come get your payment. You get a number to place on your table and it says they’ll bring the food to you. But they do not. Eventually you hear someone yelling food items and you have to guess if that’s your order. You have to go up to the counter to retrieve your food. You then realize they don’t have your drinks ready. There should be a screen that tells them your entire order but they already cleared it from their screen so they (in a bad attitude) ask you what you ordered. I proceed to tell them my four drinks. They give me two and carry on doing nothing while I stand by for my remaining two drinks. I have to raise my voice and ask for my remaining drinks. The staff attitude is unacceptable. As for me and my family we will not be returning to McDonalds.
