The Y in every city offer the best classes when people are at work yet charge upwards of 60.00 a month for membership. I have asked repeatedly in the past y the y caters to stay at home moms with the class schedules. No real answer but I do notice that during the day most of the gyms are populated with stay at home moms. Must be nice to be able to stay at home everyday and go to the gym while the working folks pay high monthly rates and have to take leave from work to go to a Y class.

I love the YGT classes they offer. Especially since they've added a Sunday afternoon class. It's a great way to start off my week and the instuctor, Brenda , is awesome, knowledgeable and supportive. Barre with Katie and ygt with Sarah are also excellent classes and wonderful instructors. A combination of all three keeps my workouts fun and interesting. Highly recommend!

The staff is friendly but this gym is way over priced. I pay $82 each month to go to an overcrowded gym that plays no music. Machines and crowds: There's only 1 machine for A lot of the primary machines (leg press, leg extensions, flys, etc..). With how insanely packed the gym is, it's rare you get to workout what you'd like to workout. Ambiance: There's no music in this gym. It is awkwardly quiet. If you forget your headphones you will be very sorry! LolHours: Their hours of operation are pretty terrible. They're closed on all holidays (major and federal). So if you're looking to workout on Martin Luther King day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, etc... look else where. Cost: At $82 you'd expect much more out of a gym. But it's over crowded, not enough machines, no music, there's just no reason to be a member here. Overall the gym is clean and the staff is friendly. But this gym os way overpriced and overcrowded. With so many other options to choose from. There's no reason to pick this one.

The staff is more than friendly. They knew my name by the second week I was there. Great new equipment. Very clean! Very diverse group of members. Something for everyone no matter what level of fitness you're at. I've been a member of a few gyms in the area, this one is by far my favorite!

A great gym in hit-or-miss YMCA world. Staff member Kate convinced us to sign up. So kind, welcoming, and informative.

I looked at my health insurance application. I had used it to receive a free gym membership from planet fitness. When I first joined this ymca, I presented my confirmation code from my health insurance plan. The Woman who served me also activated my membership. I went for a while but felt uncomfortable. I spoke with employees about it and sent them an e-mail. They told me that it was kinda breaking the rules, but they did not mind. I regret it now.

I am new to the area. I have been looking at all the gyms in the area. Man, I have to give a review for this place because the guy at the front desk was so extremely kind. I grew up in Orlando and always went to the Y. But I have lived in a very small town in the mountains of Wyoming for the past 20 years and we just don't have the Y there. So I was excited to see it and man I was really blown away.. A super nice girl gave me a really authentic tour, she was so happy and so willing to answer any questions and they helped me map out the area and other locations to help make a decision. I rarely give reviews. But when I do is because I have been effected in a really good way... or a bad way. I just had to give a honest review for this place. Because the guy at the counter was so willing to educate me on the area, as busy as he was he kept coming back to me and made me feel valued They really went above and beyond.Their equipment was excellent. And what really impressed me was easy they have made it for people that are usually intimidated by gyms. They have created area that will help people know how to use the machines and properly.I am a weight lifter. And I don't use those machines but I know how important it is for people to get exercise in their daily life and I know how most people just talk themselves out of it because they see the usual cliche perfectly fit girls and guys and that's not them so they just don't go. I didn't see that here. I just simply saw people of all ages and races doing their thing, getting their work out in. That makes me happy. Because I am fit. And I HATE to think I would ever intimidate anyone from starting. I'm that guy that will help someone and encourage them. It took me YEARS of commitment and people don't realize we all have to start somewhere. I used to be skin and bones. Now I'm not. I'm in the best shape of my life. But I will never forget how intimidating it was to go and force myself to go. And I was lucky enough to have a gym that the people were helpful and that's what I witnessed here and it made me happy.I know first hand that you can have gyms with old out of date equipment, just good enough equipment, or several options of great equipment. That's what I saw. Great equipment.I would have signed up. Just because of the front desk guy and the girl who was so kind. But I'm new to the area and the sign up fee is just too high to pay when I am not sure where I'll be in a month. But if you live here and you are older or you want a gym that's not intimidating and it's extremely clean. Definitely check it out.Oh, and even though I grew up using the Y I don't like it when the kids are allowed to be in the weight room. I think they need to be given their own space and that's what I also saw. I don't want to work out with heavy weights and have young people around me. Children. They have their own space and that's awesome. Thanks for the tour and thanks for just being really kind to me! It impressed me. It didn't go unnoticed. I was treated like I would have been treated back home in Jackson.I hope your management reads this. It was just yesterday afternoon. I am so sorry I can't remember their names. They are great at their job!

I like it overall. Their weights are unlabeled and out of order. They close at 9 instead of 10 too, which is a big downside for a working man like myself.Edit: I can confirm they got all new equipment. Big upgrades. I changed from 4 stars to 5 stars

I wish they had an indoor pool like the shades valley and downtown locations.

Great Place with great equipment. One thing is please bring back your assisted pull-up machine. This is the best place for people to start building their pull-ups.

This is a warning to all current and prospective members of the YMCA so that they hopefully don't fall prey to the shady money grabbing business practices that I have.I'm moving out of town, and have been trying to cancel my membership, but the YMCA wants to charge me another month of membership ($66) even though I asked them to cancel my membership 4 days before the next billing cycle and my move out date. They claim to require a 30 day notice to simply cancel a credit card. I asked if they could make an exception given my situation and lack of awareness of this obscure rule that I've never seen before but they just emailed me back a careless 1 sentence response: "We require you to give us a 30-day notice."I asked why they had such a rule, and of course they did not give an answer, because they know its just about squeezing more money out of people before they leave, and just replied back with a copy and paste of their terms of service.Sad to see money grabbing like this from a "non profit" thats already charging twice that of competitors like Planet Fitness (who has no such silly cancellation policy). I've never had any kind of service or membership do something this, not even Comcast, who helped me easily cancel my service in just a few minutes over the phone.
