Very friendly and helpful. Made sure I had the right fit. I knew what shoe I wanted going in and was out of the store in 15 minutes even with her measuring my foot. She even showed me a new way to lace em up. Well done!

I had the best experience I’ve ever had buying shoes here today. Hannah was the most knowledgeable, attentive and helpful retail person I’ve had the pleasure of meeting in my 56 years. Due to a MVA when I was 16 I have one foot that never grew again and has remained size 9.5 while the other grew to a size 12. My shoes are the most important thing affecting my ability to function optimally and without pain. She did everything possible to make sure both shoes fit perfectly and that I got the most supportive and appropriate style. Thank you!

I had an awful experience in store. I was told by a salesman that the shoes I needed to exchange for a different size were “cheap” and that I should use the credit towards a better pair. My child chose the pair and loved them. That made him feel awful to hear. Then came the big push for “we are locally owned.” Essentially, the salesman wanted to make money off the exchange and the only way to do so was to upsell me. The whole exchange felt very smarmy and rude. I had no idea they were a stand alone store or I would have just exchanged the purchase myself online. I will never be back. In addition, to the terrible customer service, the selection is limited and there are not many styles kids would like. Or, I guess we just like the “cheap” styles.

I was badly in need of a new pair of shoes that would help with Plantar Fasciitis and I have always had good luck with New Balance shoes. Hannah was wonderful and a huge help. I picked out a pair of 1080V14s and ordered them in store in the color that I wanted. Unfortunately when I received them, they barely fit even though the only difference between the pair that I tried on in store and the ones that I ordered was the color. I set up a time to go back to the store that worked for mine and Hannah's schedules and thanks to Hannah's help and Hunter's advice, I chose the Hierro V9 and ordered them in my size in a color that I liked. I received them at the end of last week and I am very happy so far! I highly recommend this New Balance store as well as Hannah and Hunter!! I will definitely go back when I need another pair of shoes!

I wish I could remember the gentleman that helped my niece and I out, we went in looking for us both shoes, he was fantastic helping my niece find the perfect shoes for her, she tried on multiple pairs. I was easy to please, I like a specific series, so I picked the color combo I wanted, we will be definitely going back, when we need shoes again.

The $185 old-school printed price tag on a pair of sneakers (that are at Dick's Sporting Goods for $140) presented slightly too much of a delta for me. Plus, old-school grocery store stickers! I didn't see their POS, but from my initial observations, I felt like I was in a 1970s convenience store with prices from 2050.
I was looking for some fun colors to replace my worn black 860s, but with a limited selection, I was out of luck. I asked the reluctant young sales person if they had anything else in stock, but this person seemed a little confused (or more concerned with the conversation they were having with a co-worker) and I gave up. Look, we're only human, and maybe this person had a bad day. But they made me feel like I was bothering them, and that's not how any customer should feel.
The parking lot is also challenging. It's in a weird spot that shares a high-speed Chik-Fil-A entrance, and there's not a lot of room to maneuver. I parked out back and almost had a head-on with some knucklehead taking the corner way too fast.
As a small business owner myself, I completely get how challenging the brick and mortar environment is today. But this place def needs a little more hands-on. Retrain your staff to make people feel wanted. More shoes, less shirts and shorts.
If you're like 85 years-old and a hard-core NB 574 in white lifer , you'll probably be fine. But if you're a little more cosmopolitan, you may be slightly disappointed.

We ordered a pair of New Balance for my wife online and the color was incorrect, so I went in to the store and they were so helpful, friendly and efficient. Got my wife's correct color and even bought a pair for myself. This store in birmingham is fantastic! First Class operation!!! Will be back!!!

I have been wearing the New Balance 608 cross-trainer ever since they first came out and find it the best all around every day sneaker for my needs. This was my first experience at the Hwy 280 store and I must say I was impressed with the service and attitude of the employees in assisting me with my purchase. Steve helped me originally to order the shoe since they didn't have my size in stock in black, and then today when I went to pick them up Hannah served me and I must say if I was being served by her in a restaurant she would have been well rewarded with a HUGE TIP for her congeniality, knowledge and attitude to serve to the highest degree for a perfect customer satisfaction score which I definitely would give her!! Whoever hired this young lady made a smart move for the store!! Congrats out to Hannah!!

I have terrible arthritis in both feet and the guys in the new balance store took their time to help me search for the best fit shoe. Plus, gave me some insoles to try in case the ones that came the shoe did not work. I definitely will return to the store for future purchases

Service was prompt from the moment I walked in the door. Executive Premium Footwear Advisor Jack acknowledged me and took care of me right away. He performed a 3D scan of my feet and went over the results with me. Then he recommended me the perfect shoe and fit on the first try. I'm very happy. I will be back to purchase more shoes in the future. Thank you Jack.

Super weird vibe whenever I go in there. Employees just stare at you with blank expressions. Also strange you can’t use store credit online. Would recommend buying online or going to footlocker or somewhere you can actually get what you want.
