I called in and ask to order a pixie frog which I have done at this location 4 years ago at the beginning of July never got a call about it, call in every week and they would just say we keep ordering it but it hasn't come , just keep calling back so at the beginning of August I was in hoover and stop at the petco there and told then what was going on and this morning I got a call saying they a
had one for me headed there now but I call this store today the guy was rude and was acting like he could not understand me on the phone amd didnt know what a pixie frog was so i said an african bullfrog, and he was like oh we dont sell bullfrogs so asked to speak to the female thinking it was this store that called and I could hear him say in a smart-ass voice to her I can understand nothing he is saying, see if you can, so I hung up, horrible customer service I will never show there again I'll drive to hoover

Friendly employees and while there is a limited selection of cat toys, I was able to find a new toy for a new kitten we took in that showed up at my house. I'll definitely come back and happy that there are a couple stores in the Birmingham area but this trussville location has a better selection than the other stores in the area so I'll be back!

Store was so clean!!! The man at the front greeted me when I came in and when I left. All the animals looked clean and well taken care of. You can’t say that about most places! Very nice experience

While their dog/cat areas are always well stocked and clean their fish/aquatic department leaves a lot to be desired. You can't find the correct prices on anything and the staff gives you attitude when you ask for help.

We had recently purchased fish from another pet store ( in Vestavia), were given wrong info and just overall had a bad experience. So we came here today to purchase more ( correct fish) for our new aquarium. The young lady was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. She was very patient with my husband and me and answered all of our questions. This is definitely where we will now be purchasing all of our fish and aquarium supplies.Thank you to the sweet young lady with the long black hair, sorry I didn't get your name.

Bigger man with a beard and long nails makes me never want to come back. Rude beyond measures. Was handling my fish so roughly they didn’t even make it to the door after check out. All the Beta fish were dead. And when I said something he started getting rude then ignoring me. The tanks look terrible as well and the only thing he had to say was I could go somewhere else but good luck cause they were all nasty in every location cause no one takes care of them anymore. No longer want to go to this store. Can’t deal with people who are supposed to have customer service manners and they no longer care. Get another job or at least pretend to care

All the tanks are disgusting Fish are sick and have fin rot they never seem to hire anybody who knows anything about fish they also are very rough when putting fish in the bag will not be coming back

I would like to thank Petco in Trussville, for taking such great care of my fur-baby-girl, Mango! She was in to have her nails trimmed. The staff shared some great advice with me. When I came to pick up Mango, they had put a beautiful little yellow bow in her hair on her head.
This was so special and sweet!
