SCAM!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! THEY WILL OVERCHARGE YOUR ACCOUNT FOR MORE THAN THE INITIAL AGREED UPON AMOUNT. AND CHARGE FOR MONTHS STORAGE EVEN AFTER YOU'RE POD IS RETURNED. I'M STILL FIGHTING FOR RESOLUTION ON THIS MATTER. THEY WERE TWO WEEKS PAST DELIVERY DATE FORCING AN ADDITIONAL MONTHS STORAGE EVEN AFTER THEY PICKED UP THE POD. WE'VE ALREADY GIVEN THEM OVER $6000.00 TO TRANSPORT FROM ONE STATE TO THE NEXT. AND ABSOLUTELY REFUSE TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $429.70 FOR ANOTHER MONTHS RENTAL THAT THEY WERE LATE IN DELIVERY.SOME OF MY FURNITURE GOT TO THE NEW PROPERTY BROKEN. AND I PAID EXTRA FOR $20,000 INSURANCE. BUT MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THESE ADDITIONAL FEES I NEVER NEEDED, NOR AGREE TO!I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF THIS COMPANY. AND WILL NEVER REFER TO ANY OF MY FAMILY MEMBERS OR FRIENDS!

If I could, I would give zero stars. I have been promised, with confirmation numbers, different prices. Billed over DOUBLE the prices quoted. And called the customer service FOUR times with confirmation numbers of the calls. I keep getting pushed around and given more confirmation numbers without ANY resolve. My quoted price has gone from $650 to $2700 that they have now charged my credit card. This place is a complete scam. My issue keeps being 'escalated' and every time I call the customer service operators are sassy and re-explain my charges to me as if I'm an idiot. I have to convince them to read my chart notes.

I have to convince them to read my chart notes.I am standing by my one star, but do want to add the caveat that after posting this review, customer service escalated my case and the prices originally quoted were given to me with discounts being credited back to my account! I was happy to know that I would receive the prices quoted, but annoyed I had to post an ugly review to get resolution.

if I could give 0 star I would. I have 2 containers. Im having to rent a truck drive 2:30 mins from Columbus Ga to Birmingham Al and get my stuff out of the PODS and into a truck and then turn around and drive it back and unload it. This has been the worst experience I've ever had and I have breast cancer. Customer service is horrible and a 10 minute wait turns into 45 minutes. Its like they are holding your stuff hostage to continue to get the monthly payment. I will never use this company and I redo t recommend it to anyone who needed their stuff back.

The fact that this company has a credit card "chargeback specialist" should tell you something.I was delivered 2 pods on 5.18.23. The first driver pointed out that the first one was difficult to open and close. The second one was delivered poorly.Later on the 18th, my son pointed out that I would not be able to open and close pod 1 by myself, and no one would be around while I was using the pods. This was a problem. So he called and requested they swap it out. He was told there would be no charge for the swap.Instead, I was charged for 3 pods. Delivery, pickup, and a full month's rental. Over $470 extra.The company refuses to credit me for these excess charges, even though the "market manager" admits he should not have put the original, defective unit on the truck for delivery and we have their word on 5.18.23 that they would not charge us any additional for the swap.They are the absolute worst company to deal with. The market manager, Jeff Harris, said corporate had to handle the overcharges, while corporate, when I called, said it was something he had to do.This is obviously a game they play. Deliver a defective unit, have the customer swap it out, and double charge them. Then have both parties say the other has to handle the crediting of the extra charges.So, I disputed the excess billing with American Express a week ago. Today, the chargeback specialist at pods called me to get my credit card for payment for the charges I disputed.No one has ever called me to do this. Ever.UPDATESo, in response to my review, PODs gave me an email address to contact to help me. I immediately reached out. This person did not help in the least. She said the only people that could help with billing issues were those that had already contacted me...the people that are overbilling me.In addition, I finally noticed that the did not even apply the discount code I had used to the swapped unit. Just another way to rip off the customer.

Scheduled pick up was 10:15 to 1:15pm. At 10:26 received a call from customer service rep named Aaron who told me my driver could not pick up my pod from my ex wife's house said a car was in the way. They then proceeded to tell me that the driver called twice and didn't get an answer, rang the door bell and no one answered. I had zero missed calls and zero messages. I don't live there so I have no clue if someone was home. Plus the fact that this was all done in supposedly the 11 minutes between the 10:15 scheduled pick up and the 10:26 call from Aaron. Not to mention that Aaron was not helpful or nice at all. I will admit I was irate and probably not the most pleasant to talk to but Aaron was snarky and condescending. Now they are saying they can't do the pick up for a week. I am a divorced father of two and everything I owned was in that pod. I finally found a place for me and my girls to live but now we have to wait another week for furniture????? At this point the 3 of us are living in a single room at my sisters house and we have been for the last month. Yet PODS will do nothing and Aaron would not let me speak to a manager. The driver didn't wait 10 minutes for someone to call the customer and now they are gonna try and charge me another month for the POD this is ridiculous and I cannot believe a company this size is able to treat the customer like this. Needless to say the POD idea sounds awesome but the company is horrible and doesn't believe that the customer is important.

I would recommend to anyone moving to use PODS. The driver was great and helpful, the container held all of our stuff and it makes the move easier.

We packed our attic and garage into a pod about a month before we hired movers to do the rest. It prevented us from having so much to do/ move in one day, and tave us a place to keep things while we still were able to use the garage for parking.. We leisurely went thru and cleaned out/organized holiday decorations, condensed boxes, and purged things we didn't need and moved them right onto the pod until we scheduled the pick up. Once the pod was moves to our new house we could take our time getting the main house boxes unpacked, then moved onto the POD. Each interaction I had with PODS, either online or in person, was pleasant, efficient and EASY. Hard to find this kind of customer service anymore, besides ChikFilA

I had to store my goods for 2 months before our new house was ready. Storing in Pods makes much more sense than renting a storage unit. Great overall experience with Pods

Pods of Birmingham did an excellent job dropping off, picking up, and even working around my own failings on the website to schedule the proper date for our pod to be moved to the new house. They fit us in on the day I should have scheduled it for, which was great because we already had paid help scheduled to help unload that day. I couldn't recommend a service with more confidence. They made a very stressful surprise short notice relocation easier than it would have otherwise been.

Amazing experience all around. They are a little pricey, but well worth it when you are in an emergency situation. Larry provided great customer service when it came time to pick them up. Thank you for everything.

The delivery driver was very nice and presentable, the POD was convenient but I was quoted one thing on the phone and charged $75 more on my bill each month. I contacted billing and they were going to escalate my concern and no one every contacted me to resolve this. Integrity of quotes is EXTREMELY questionable.
