I've been searching for good Jamaican food for a while. I was told about Topical Grill through word of mouth. I been planing on trying this place for a while and I'm glad I did. When you enter the restaurant, it's what you think a typical Jamaican restaurant would look like. The service was good. I liked the ambiance. I ordered jerk chicken, rice and peas, macaroni and plantain. Everything was good. The macaroni was okay, it's nothing I would order again. My over all experience was good, I can't wait to go back and try more items. I'm excited to try a beef patty.

I cannot rave about this place enough. From the kind gentleman that took our order who had nothing but happy vibes, to the fantastic food, drink selection, and even deserts! This place is fantastic and authentic.

This is the best Caribbean food I've tasted from a restaurant . Try the jerk Chicken , it's delicious. Great Service. And asked about desserts. Recommend Banana Pudding. I rate this place 99 in my book

I find Jerk Chicken everywhere I travel. Tropical Grill was not the best Jerk I have ever had. But it had a little kick. Which made it delicious. I would have liked more peas in my rice :^) The corn bread was better than I expected.Parking: Parking is located behind the building.

My family bought 3 different dishes: Curry chicken, Pineapple chicken, and Jerk chicken. All three were absolutely delicious. Each dish came with two sides. I would recommend the peas and rice and the cabbage as your sides. Each dish also came with fried plantain and corn bread. The staff was also very polite; the customer service was great. The restaurant was quaint but it is mostly a carryout place. I would definitely it if you're in the mood for good jamaican cuisine.

I really like this place. The food is delicious. I just told my husband that I feel like I just had dinner at their house. This food doesn't taste like restaurant food. They're such cool people. The atmosphere is like the neighborhood Jamaican Shop. I gave three stars only because everybody doesn't like the neighborhood atmosphere.Parking: Parking is located behind the shopped in the plaza next to it.

Wow!! I have been BAMBOOZLED!! Whoever said Birmingham doesn’t have any authentic Jamaican restaurants, certainly hasn’t had a taste of the island from Tropical Grill.I visited Jamaica last year and I’ve been looking for that authentic flavor ever since. This week, it finally happened and I’m so glad I found this place. The seasonings and spices taste so true to that Caribbean flavor. The owner said he special orders the spices from back home. The food was amazing! Chefs kiss!! I had a chicken patty that tasted like the comforts of grandmas cooking, I could have eaten 10 of those. I had the jerk chicken that was falling off the bone in the most delicious jerk marinade with a hint of spice but also sweet & savory. I also had the mouth watering cheesy macaroni and cheese. It was creamy and cheesy and so much depth of flavor. I also had rice and peas. All of the food is made with so much love and care in this place. From meeting the owner, to getting the inside scoop on the food flavors, this place is a hidden gem in the city.Did I mention how reasonably priced the food is at this place? With the rising cost of food, its great to visit a little peace of the island, and get really good portion sizes, without playing a lot.I’ll definitely be back for more.
