My wife was briefly hospitalized here before being transferred to the main hospital for more intensive care. The care she received from the emergency room to intensive care was excellent and caring. It was unfortunate that her condition was far more serious than what they could handle.

The worst employees I’ve ever seen. I’ve gotten better service from a McDonalds at 3 am. The staff is condescending, entirely apathetic to the patient, and actively inflicts pain to patients that dare even ask a question about their care. Also completely unsanitary and the cross contamination between patients is ridiculous. I wouldn’t even go here for a Band Aid.

I definitely wouldn't recommend I was told I wasn't pregnant I had a UTI but I took a picture of the ultrasound and it definitely looked like a fetus the doctor told me that was blood flow in the shape of a fetus

I had surgery on Thursday morning. It was so all of a sudden they kept getting the times wrong called at least 15 times. The overall experience was great Denise, Josiyah, Mrs Denise, a plethora of ones that made the experience less unbearable! Checkout cones nothing's ready no paperwork no meds nothing when I did get the discharge papers that's it nothing else how am I supposed to lay around in pain I can't believe this Mrs Lorie even called Doctor called the attending no one could get my meds right now I'm laying here in pain so much I just want to scream honestly even with all the good people like Josiyah Denise and Jacob I never want care from here again it was a circus from beginning to endDon't even ask about food it's always cold smh just pack you a couple brown bags you'll need them

(Calling for medical documentation) The encounter with the medical records staff at 12:18 on Tuesday on OCTOBER 25,2023 was quite unpleasant. When I called inquiring about my medical records and politely explained that I was unfamiliar with the process, I asked which document I should access on their website. However, the staff member responded with an abrupt "EXCUSE ME, you didn't hear what I said." This experience left me shocked by the poor treatment I received over the phone. It's disheartening to think that others might also face such rudeness, especially older individuals who may struggle with the process. It's a concerning issue that warrants attention. So sad, if you don’t like your job then leave. If you need assistance I would definitely think about what just happened to me and rethink your hospital.

If I could give less than ZERO stars, I would. From the absolute horrible service with the billing & insurance department (who tried to bully my 21 yo into paying 1/2 his estimated bill before scheduling his surgery -yes, you read that correctly!) to the outpatient surgical team who asked us to be here at noon, and as I sit here at 5:45 still haven’t gotten a single update from them (even though they promise to update you once surgery starts and every hour after) to the disgusting bathrooms and waiting area in the surgery center, I would tell you to go literally anywhere but here.We have decent private insurance coverage, I have NEVER been asked to pay 1/2 or any portion of a bill before services are rendered. No ma’am, you can send me a bill like any other medical service and after my insurance pays their portion, I will make arrangements to make sure the balance is paid. Not to mention, I already fought this fight when my son came in for his pre-op and the terrible woman in billing tried to tell him he’d have to make a payment then and when I called back, that story completely changed once I spoke to her supervisor.I understand Alabama is a healthcare desert & nightmare and that most people may be under or uninsured but to penalize the people who have insurance is wrong and unethical. It is places and systems like this that keep Alabama in the literal dark ages and unable to retain much less recruit talented health care professionals.I cannot in good conscience EVER recommend this place again after our experience today that has been a complete and total nightmare.

If i could leave a zero i would. I Have had so many bad experiences at this hospital. Don’t know why i ever went back, but this last time was enough. Dont expect good care, and don’t think they are going to be in any hurry to help you. My husband has 2 ripped apart ligaments going on 3 weeks now since mri with no answers for the route to surgery, literally crickets…. Can’t get medical records to pick up the phone to release information so we can even go to a different hospital. So now we are stuck walking around with an ankle barely hanging on & out of work right before Christmas! Thanks uab !!!

Came in with severe pain from on main er the day techs would not help me at all get to the bathroom or empty my drain bags and when I finally got tired of waiting for someone to help me I took matters into my own hands and the bags exploded all over me and my gown they wouldn’t bring me another gown. And the day nurses have attitudes when you ask for Benadryl due to a medication they give you cause it broke you out and you couldn’t stop itching and due to itching it made you bleed ?? I’m sorry but I like main UAB at kirkland clinic a lot better!!

To be honest the only reason why I am posting this right now is because I’m tired of nonchalant inadequacy. I came in for a COVID test the other day and long story short they tell you if you don’t get a call back then you don’t have it. VERY MISLEADING. I actually had to call them today for my results and the person on the phone said they attempted to call me yesterday at 7:22 (I never received a call), and kept saying it was okay when I was telling them I had never gotten a call. THIS IS NOT OKAY. This will be the first time since the virus came out that I have caught it to my knowledge. And I AM SICK AND TIRED OF BEING SICK AND TIRED OF HOW I AM TREATED DOWN HERE. Now the staff were not mean, rude, or incompetent or anything but I understand why issues spiral out of control when they don’t have to. I would hope they are not doing this to get a reaction or a rating, but you never know with people. Like I literally had to slow down because I work around people who I would never want to get sick or hurt. But I understand I am not being treated with the care and respect that I treat others with. -_- I’m over the carelessness.

My mother had an appointment at 10:40 am Dr.Morsy. We were elated that he could possibly help her find proper solutions for her arm, shoulder, neck, and back pain; however, there was a long delay in the clinic wherein caused us to wait two whole hours for nothing. We left with our co-pay refund, but our time was not compensated. I’m extremely disappointed that this has been my first impression on the doctor as a new patient.

Great location, friendly valet service, Great Doctor's & nursing services and excellent social workers: especially "Ms. Mallis & Ms. Cameron ( They showed outstanding care for my aunt's urgent situation). Also a very big thank you to the cooking staff who went out their way to give my aunt a birthday dinner on the 4th of July; when family wasn't able to be with her because of death and working. Thank you all , for all you do. You don't know how much the things you do, touch and effect the lives & heart of people. Thanks so much ?
