Just moved to the area & stopped in to grab some essential items that were still on the moving truck. It was 7:30 pm on 12/5/23. This location closes at 10:00 pm.I needed to use the restroom but the doors are locked. I went to the front, with my basket full of items that I planned to leave on the side of the counter and asked the cashier for the access code to the restroom. Without looking up she said "they're in the back". I said yes, but they are locked and I needed the code. She said "We lock them at a certain time".It goes without saying that I won't be doing business with Walgreens. It may seem minor but to have an employee be so unnecessarily rude to someone, a customer just trying to buy some soap, toothpaste, etc. is so unnecessary and unprofessional. I can only imagine how I would be treated trying to fill prescriptions. There are too many other options for pharmacy care out there to accept this.

Horrible trashy employees. Poor representation of the store. The Manger on duty doesn't care and let's her employees curse people out.

Maybe the worst run retail store on earth. Horrible experience every single time I’ve been there. Glad Walgreens is getting a new CEO.

Had a great shopping experience at Montclair Walgreens today. I was dropping off a package for Fed Ex and was immediately greeted by a young man, Jacob H. He was so friendly and helpful! Also did a bit of shopping and when he couldn’t ring up my wine due to his age, he swiftly got an older associate or supervisor to do that for him. Go get great customer service from Jacob! He’s saving up to buy his first car

I have only written one yelp review ever, but I felt this visit deserved one.It has been a long time since I have seen such poor customer service and lack of basic manners. The employees decided to make the photo area the only check out while 3 of them sat chatting loudly/scrolling on phones behind the desk as the line substantially grew. When one girl was very politely asked by an older lady in front of me if there was another check out, she was given a side eye and disrespectful grunt of "uh huh" and continued to joke with coworkers. It was so rudely done that we were shaking our heads. Turns out that wasn't true because as I left, one of gentlemen who was a part of this group finally ambled over and opened one up after the line got so ridiculously long they couldn't ignore it (saw a lady put her things back and leave). The cashier was the only one doing anything resembling work; however, she sat there eating peach rings and digging the sticky remnants out of her teeth/gums all the while ignoring the customer. I understand we all have to eat and I am no germaphobe, but this was just gross. I had to take my bag, but it was a no thank you on the receipt. This used to be my local Walgreens. So glad it's not now. The employees are rude, unprofessional and lazy. Zero stars.

I wish I could give zero stars. This is the worst Walgreens I've ever used & unfortunately it's the closest one to my house. I've tried to use this location several times and every time I do I am reminded once again why I drive 15 minutes down the road to use a different one. My biggest and overall complaint that seems to happen time and time again is the lack of communication when they are out of a medication. Medication that I cannot go without for a day. When dropping off a prescription it should be part of the procedure to check and make sure the medication is there, especially when you tell the person it will be ready for pickup at whatever time. You would of course leave thinking they have the medication only to wait for two hours then in line for 20+ minutes to find out they do not have it. I am signed up for email and text notifications from Walgreens, this is the only location that does not utilize that. Again, I just came to Walgreens to pick up my medication I was told would be ready in 2 hours to find out that they are out of the medication. No one emailed or texted me nor did the lady let me know when I dropped the script off. This is at least the third time this has happened. The staff has never been very friendly & this is the only location I can say that about, all the other ones I've been to have been so nice.. this once makes you feel like an inconvenience. I know this post won't get far, but I hope it helps someone in the future to avoid going through what I have numerous times. I will drive the extra 15+ minutes from now on.

The pharmacist seemed to hate her job and do it badly, but I respect that. But seriously, do not get your rxs here.

Undoubtedly the rudest pharmacy staff I have ever experienced. It is no wonder that they close early and because they can’t find people to work there. Everyone must be incredibly miserable, and it is reflected in how they treat customers. I can only guess that the manager is desperate for workers. Moving my account to the Clairmont location.

Have had a plethora of issues with this location in the past but have stuck with them due to how close they are for convenience. After waiting 50 minutes in the drive-thru pharmacy line to only move up 4 cars and still have 2 cars in front of me that would probably take an additional 20 minutes of my time, I'm going to be switching pharmacies to further avoid dealing with this embarrassment of a Walgreens.

Multiple times this pharmacy has stated I didn’t have refills of my meds. So, I’ve called my dr and they state I have 2-3 refills and it takes days for the pharmacy to fix this problem. The wait times are also ridiculous. I was in line for an hour last night before I gave up and left. That entire time the drive thru line didn’t budge. Will be changing pharmacies!!
