“For the past several months, I was on the hunt for a new car—or at least, a new one for me, since I had been driving a 19-year-old vehicle. A couple of days ago, I finally found the car that seemed to check all the boxes. It was a 2019 Highlander, and I was eager to see if it really lived up to my expectations. I sent an inquiry to High Country Toyota, and within minutes, I received a text from Jacob. While I assume texting is standard in car sales, what really stood out to me was the personalized video Jacob sent. He addressed me by name and acknowledged my interest in the Highlander, which was a fantastic way to start the customer relationship.
When I arrived at the dealership, I was warmly greeted by Ms. Terri at the front desk. She made me feel like family from the very beginning, which put me right at ease. We spent some time talking about family, life, and even shared some encouragement with each other. That kind of genuine interaction is what life is all about.
Next, I had the pleasure of meeting Johnny. What a guy! He was personable, funny, and made sure I was well taken care of throughout the purchasing process. When I finally got to see the Highlander in person, it exceeded my expectations—everything was just as described, if not better. The car was in excellent condition and really checked all the boxes, just as I had hoped.
The paperwork and financing process was smooth and hassle-free, which was a huge relief. The team guided me through every step, making sure I understood everything and felt comfortable with the decisions I was making. I also got to meet Rod, Lexi, Ashley (if I remember correctly), and of course, Tequila—can’t forget her! The entire team at High Country Toyota made my experience nothing short of amazing.
The customer service at High Country Toyota is a solid 10 out of 10. If I lived closer, I’d stop by often just to see the team. If you’re in the market for a car, I highly recommend making the trip to Scottsboro, Alabama, to meet these wonderful people. They’re there to serve you in the best way possible. If I ever need another car, the first dealership I’ll think of is High Country Toyota.

“I brought in my car today for some new tires (mine were dangerously worn out) and an oil change. I had to drop it off in a hurry to be able to get to work, and just hope that it could be done quickly so I could have it for the weekend.When I got there, Jim, came out to my car in the rain to check it out. It turned out they didn't have my tire size in stock. Instead of sending me somewhere else, he called another shop and was able to get the tires from them.They were able to get my car done with great customer service! “Sometimes I feel sad all my reviews are negative. I worry that reflects me and not the way ppl conduct businesses around here. But there I go to a place like this and I’m reminded, ppl can run a good, helpful, honest, company. This place renewed my hope in our town. Cause sadly most all other companies around here and fort payne are AWFUL with caring or being fair. I recommend this place. My husband loves it and the ppl.
