“FIND, TRADE, LOVE! I have heard about Sojourns through the grapevine, and have wanted to come by for a while now. Unfortunately, I don't typically find myself in Crestwood a whole bunch. Sojourns is a fair trade business which means they trade between companies in developed countries and producers in developing countries in which fair trade is paid to the producers. Nothing in this store is made in a factory, but instead is hand crafted. They had sections for all different types of items. Clothing, jewelry, knives/kitchen ware, snacks and toys. Everything is neatly organized too which is great. Sojourns is a great spot to find gifts for anyone and everyone. They have all sorts of different things inside. I winded up picking up some shower steamers which I am excited to use. The store is very organized, beautiful artwork with tons of things to look at everywhere you turn. The owner is super sweet. You can tell she loves what she does and is always happy to help you find what you are looking for. Whether that be a gift for yourself or so,some else.”

“My friend and I took our three 5 yr olds for a special treat. We headed to cookie fix in Homewood. But when we arrived they were locking up. So we walked down the street with three very sad little kids. We passed by a cute new little chocolate shop, but they were also locking up for the day. The owner saw us and said to please come in and look around. She was so very kind and made our kiddos day! We all left with smiles and some of the most amazing chocolates I’ve ever had!”

“This was some of the best resale shopping I did in Birmingham! I purchased a vintage Badgley Mischka 2-piece formal suit set for $10 and a phenomenal pair of jeweled Miu Miu ballet flats from the early 2000s for $5!They also sold a ton of giftable new items (especially for children) that looked handmade and probably local, which I was tempted to buy for Christmas presents. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit!”

They have quite the selection of gift items for everyone. There is a division in the store that separated the children's portion of the store from the adult part. The store has lots of stuff. It is almost too much stuff. A claustrophobic person would have a field day inside. Apart from being able to monogram the items in the store they also do a,aging job hen it comes to wrapping gifts. There is a wide selection of ribbons and tissue paper to choose from. I loved coming inside and walking around in here, however, though it is far from my home, I would not go out of my way to come by, but will however come back if I'm in the area.”

“THE REST IS STILL UNWRITTEN! I was trying to kill some time before meeting with a friend for lunch. Decided to walk around Mountain Brook a little bit. I had not had the opportunity to do so in the past so I figured why not. Stumbled upon this small stationary store. It feels very dainty and ritzy inside. The lady who works there was very nice. She was helping another customer when I walked in, so that gave me some time to look around a little bit. There were all sorts of goodies inside the store. Beautiful crystal picture frames, silk scarves, and a lot of variety of cards and stationary packs. This is defiantly the type of store to come to when looking for wedding gifts or just gifts in general. Mainly for the women in your life, as I did not really see a lot of inventory in the store for men. The prices might be a little high, but after all it is in Mountain Brook so it makes scene. Though I highly recommend checking this spot out. If you are ever in the area, go on in and see what you can find for a special person in your life.”

“I started a conversation with some employees from this shop while visiting their succulent booth at Pepper Place farmers market! I ended up purchasing some succulents that I’ve also added pictures of. More importantly, I discussed needing a bridal bouquet for my wedding that was in a month. They very eagerly directed me to their brick and mortar to speak to their florist, Wesley. I went in and spoke with him and gave him my number. We arranged a time for me to come back and discuss my bouquet dreams. He said it was the first Bridal bouquet they had made to order in advance and that made me super excited. He was so accommodating and sent me pictures of different flowers he envisioned for the bouquet to make sure I liked them. He enthusiastically listened to my jumbled thoughts about my vision for the bouquet, which I’m sure seemed like a contradiction of itself every other sentence. Nevertheless, he obliged and cared, and the end result was better than I could’ve imagined!! I got him to make a boutonnière as well and our total for the two pieces came out to $181, which I felt was fair especially with all of the personalization he allowed me!”
